Noticed this in the new eFX newsletter. Very excited about this. Hoping it will be fully illuminated. Just waiting for price/pre-order info.
TRON’S Helmet
TRON – 1982
“We made it!… this far.” -TRON
No need to hack into our computer system, here’s a sneak peek at our replica of TRON’s Helmet. This technological challenge has been in the works since the days of the floppy disc (OK, maybe not that long). This is a replica of the original helmet worn by TRON (Bruce Boxleitner) in the original 1982 film. Keep your quarters handy; this game is just getting started.

Tha' gon' be ehpensive. (sorry wanted to try my columbian accent)
But, yeah, that thing looks like it'll be expensive. I hope it's not though, I would like one, but I'm more interested in a costume than anything else.

Awesome! I want one too! But if it's too much, then I can always just make one myself. Eventually |

What is your guys' definition of "expensive?" Because I think that if it sells for $150-$200, that'd be perfect, especially if it lights up! If it doesn't light up, I'd be more inclined to get it for around the $150 mark.
I bought one of eFX's ESB Stormtrooper helmets, which has no bells or whistles, but for $150 it's pretty dang sweet.

Everyone's budget is different; While I think $200 is easily affordable for a basic helmet, others may not.
If it comes fully padded on the inside, with durable lighting that lasts a good long time before having to change the batteries, maybe a few other features, and the helmet having excellent quality and an excellent finish, I could see $400ish being reasonable. It just depends on how "deluxe" they want to make it.
I was just trying to gauge what other's would call "affordable."

Considering their high-end Star Wars helmets routinely sell for about $1000 but then again, LFL is greedy and an expensive license. Their precision cast ABS Stormtrooper helmets are less expensive around the $150 mark which is about where I'd expect this to be but again it is all contingent on the electronics used to illuminate it it. Might be closer to $300. They'd be crazy to go any higher than that.
