Did anyone else notice that the Tron disc they have is made of plastic? After speaking with someone who worked on the original Tron movie who was selling his Tron crew jacket and disc months ago, he told me the original discs in the movie were made of styrofoam, not plastic.

When Ram is playing with his disk while he talks to Flynn, it almost sounds porcelain or something. Does anyone know if for that scene, they used something else?

Could they have maybe added sound effects versus the disc actually making that sound? I'm just going by what the crew guy from the movie told me. He told me back then quite a number of props were just tossed out into the dumpster so he wound up picking up the disc from the dumpster and he got a few crew-related items like the jacket that's being auctioned and Tron coffee mug for the crew guys that he wound up selling on eBay (jacket, mug, and styrofoam disc).

And I could scream at set people who order things to be tossed. Those would make great collectibles for fans, and they could make a small fortune for charity if auctioned. Pity dumpsters are ON property instead of in back off lot.

Yeah I hear you... unfortunately back then in the early 80s they didn't realize how amazing of a movie they were making and how valuable the props from the movie would eventually be... truly a shame they were tossed out like that.
