Kev says ; a cycle is 8 hours......Castor says ; how long have you been searching for this.....maybe he meant FULL CYCLES ..or 1000 x 24 hours...? at any rate about a year or three.....any help here......i hope this is covered in the animated series........

Castor says Clu has been trying to get the disc for about 1000 cycles... 1000 cycles is about 20 years, so it means that Clu has been trying to get the disc since he turned on Flynn (AM I STILL TO CREATE THE PERFECT SYSTEM), about how long he has been trapped, which we know is accurate.
Just to confirm how much time has passed in-grid, how Programs refer to time, and Clu's impatience.
