did anybody get the feeling that they were inferring that she was to Tron as Sam is to Kevin. In other words she is Sam's Tron.

Well I feel that it would be cliche to have Sam and Quorra hook up. It'd be more interesting to have Quorra as a guardian/confidant for Sam.

I'm amazed Disney even dared to keep the romance as low-key in T:L as they did. It doesn't fit the Hollywood formula of what a film needs to get butts in the seats.

Problem is that they're stuck between a rock and a hard place...Quorra is stuck with Sam; he's like her meal ticket since she doesn't understand the real world, has no way of supporting herself here, etc. So if they were to split up and it was not amicable, things could get very awkward...

Actually wasn't Tron a watchdog/anti-virus program that was taken by the MCP?
And I don't think Quorra has a purpose. Being an ISO, she wasn't written, just spontaneously appeared.

It really doesn't make any sense and Tron was a security program with a strong sense of justice and a will to do what's right . . . Qurroa is an ISO refugee who got her arm derezzed . . .
My point being that, they may be in similar situations, but that doesn't give them the same qualities or make them anything alike or make them share the same kind of relationships.
Tron is a computer gladiator . . . who helped Flynn
Qurroa is the last member of a miracle in computer science . . . who needed help from Sam (and Flynn)

Either way it swings in Tron 3, if there even is a Tron 3, I hope Sam and Quorra aren't together. The parts don't fit.

Heheh.. love the Rocketman quotes. 
To me the original movie and legacy have similarities for the Tron formula.
Flynn Sam (The lost one, main hero)
Tron Quorra/Flynn (The good fighter, helps hero)
Yori Quorra (The female guide)
Dumont Flynn/Castor (The old guy)
