1981
Sep. 22
* Mr. Dillinger shuts down access to all Group-7 personnel. Alan is not granted access to his Tron program.
* Lora, working together with Dr. Gibbs, finish yet another 'digitizing' test. Her theory of a scanned U-V laser beam being superior to single pulse exposure is a success.
* Flynn sets an all-time world record in 'Space Paranoids' with 999,000 points.
* Alan, Flynn and Lora plan using a terminal from within ENCOM to forge a Group-6 access, get into the system to activate Tron and use it as a means of shutting down the MCP and retrieve the evidence.
* Flynn gets digitized into the Game Grid by the MCP when trying to access the mainframe. He succeeds in retrieving and printing the file needed as evidence after derezzing the MCP with Tron and Yori's help and becomes ENCOM's CEO.
1982 (TRON 2.0)
(TRON 2.0)
* Lora marries Alan; Jet Bradley is born.
1983
* Kevin Flynn is reinstated as an employee of ENCOM and gets promoted as V.P. Creative Development. (Source)
* Flynn redesigns the Grid to his own specifications. |
So what seems off to me here, is according to this, Flynn became CEO after Dillinger got the axe in 1981.
But then it says that Kevin wasn't rehired until 1983, and only attained the rank of V.P.
I'm kinda surprised that there'd be this much of an error in the official CANON. Both events pertain mainly to the films, rather than comics, games etc. Any thoughts?order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

I'd say poorly worded.
Sounds like they should have referred to the evidence as "eventually" making him CEO.

Yeah, but then doesn't canon timeline say somewhere that he QUITS Encom sometime in 1983 or 1984? Seems we've debated this before, and I thought someone said they'd read that somewhere. (But I think it was disputed, can't remember why. It's been a while)
But then I feel like with all the material Disney has out there, there seem to be a LOT of contradictions and retconning every time something new comes out. (I dont' feel bad at not being able to keep track of it all if even Disney can't)
What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!

I think that might've happened in Tron 2.0, but I can't be sure. Something in one of the email bins. Maybe I'm mixing it up though. There was a LOT of depressing stuff in those emails though.

Oh, that could be. It would explain why there were arguments about it. What do you want? I'm busy.
