Why didn't they just name him "Smith"? Well I guess that's kinda been done. How about Jones? Here's what I'm getting at: Is Rinzler one of the names of a famous programmer or computer researcher from days gone by from our universe which somehow made it's way into the Tron universe? I mean, the name "Rinzler" does seem a bit pedestrian for the world of Tron where everyone else has a more science-fictiony name, doesn't it?
Oh, and is it "Zuze" or "Zeus"? I seem to remember the name being pronounced as both by those with English as well as American accents so you can't say it sounds one way with one accent and another in, well ,another accent.

The story put out is that the name was chosen because someone working on Legacy (maybe even Kosinski himself) had or saw a book on Star Wars by author J. W. Rinzler. Apparently, whomever it was that saw it thought that was cool-sounding enough to be a name for a character in Tron Legacy.
I don't know if that is true, but considering before the movie came out, that was the only other "Rinzler" I knew of, it could be true.
Why use Norton AV or AVG to protect your computer when you could be using TRON instead!? |

Actually, neither. It's Zuse. Pronounced like "Zeus," yes, not with a Z like Zuze.
