I think at this point in time, she, as well as Sam and Kevins, main goal were to just get to the portal, and rewrite/erase Clu from the outside. Not to get her into the real world.

Maybe if she would've died, with her disc, she knew Flynn could possibly rerez her in case anything hapened while still serving as a distraction against Tronzler so they could escape.
