Macs suck, don't buy a Mac. Even if we are technically Sith Lords now, I will never use a Mac. Never!

Pullfocus must not be a very big Tron fan. He doesn't seem to understand the meaning of 'end of line'.

TRON.dll Wrote:When you say the fans are whirring away, is that what they did before? If not, then it could be that the motherboard is toast. Same thing happened to my desktop last year. Power surge fried the motherboard and I had to build a new computer. Fortunately, nothing else was damaged, so I was able to use most of my old components on the computer I built afterwards.

The fans always run, but that's a possibility. The first time they fixed it, they said my motherboard was fried (though still functioned... sorta). I did actually get it to start too boot once before I took it in, but then the battery died, and when I plugged it in again, nothing. Note, yes - I did try it in both plugged in and un-plugged-in states.

I understand it well. Its okay, not everyone understands constructive feedback. Some people will only listen to what they want to hear and be offended by the rest. Which is counter-productive in an open forum.
Good luck resolving your pc issues, i hope your band material is salvageable.

I'm tired of Mac users telling me what they think I want. I don't like Macs, I don't like using Macs, I don't like the OS and how it's set up, I don't like the difficulties involved with using them for the sorts of things I do. You're not going to change my opinion any more than I'm going to be able to convince you that you should throw away your Mac and go buy a Vista machine. It's always the same argument with no resolution - no one changes their minds, and all it does is contribute to the pointless Mac vs PC feud.

For the sake of sanity and the peace on this forum, just drop it. I tried to avert an argument to begin with, but you just couldn't resist. And I get it. I used to instigate arguments like that all over the web.

Anyway, got back my band data today. Mixdown to ensue!
