And yes, WorldOutWest, I agree. I knew a Castor would hit ebay auction at some point. I thought since the ending time was middle of the night US it might end up going a little low. It will be interesting to see another auction now that the bar has been set so to speak.

As far as I'm concerned, you cannot 'buy' a Castor figure so in that sense it's still priceless. As for the 3D model, if you look on google or youtube for 3D Printer you would probably be amazed at what can be replicated already. They will only get more intricate from here on out. It's hard to imagine someone taking the time of making a lighted version of Castor, but easier to imagine someone making a 3D model of him for sale.

Once these 3D printers hit the mainstream (you can already get one for under $1000) people will be replicating old plastic toys from every era.

That vid shows just how intricate these printers are already. An action figure would probably be no problem (other than the copyright, which is why we don't have Castor to begin with lol.)

The Castor I got was actually in far better condition than the one depicted in the auction -- it's in excellent condition. Given the price I paid, the seller was cool to let me choose between the one depicted in the auction posting, and a second he brought. He's now keeping the other Castor figure for himself.
