Yeah I know about the whole production mishap, and it's going to be almost impossible to find another. But since I've heard Spin Master was going to make a Castor figure I've been keeping my eyes out for one. And has the series 3 core figures came out ? Not yet, so there is a big possibitly he'll come out with those ones. Bear......Spin Master is done with the Tron toy line "End of Line Man" ! I suggest you goto Tron Legacy section in forum, goto page 9 and click Toys Found at Retail...(thread is closed) read it and it will give you a better understanding of what happened to the toy line.

No. There were about 300 Castor figures produced that were pulled from the casepacks and destroyed or distributed to the employees. bummer. i like that figure

No derezzed black guard exists, no 'redeemed/white' Rinzler exists. Both of those photos were of unreleased prototypes/repaints.

I'm sure it's been answered before, but why would they destroy the figures? What a waste of time, energy, raw materials, etc. Not only is it a loss of money for Disney and SM, but very wasteful. They could've donated them or something.
I think I'll make 5000 cars. And then destroy all but 300 of them. Just for fun. I'm sure 4700 people who don't have a car wouldn't mind.
EDIT: Okay, I see on Tron Wiki that it was a "Disney/talent approval issue." Elsewhere I see a "likeness issue." Still no excuse. (Since when did likenesses (or I should say 'the lack thereof') begin to be a problem with Tron Legacy creations -- look at the comicbooks and video games, for example.) The figure looks fine. If it was Michael Sheen's doing, then 'meh.'

There's a photo of Sheen on the packaging.
Note how Spin Master sidestepped using Bridges' likeness on the packaging for his disk (as I'm guessing his rights were the most expensive).

Good news and bad news.....Got acyrlic cases for Castor and 2" Clu + Castor from CGA today....cases are sweet...2" fits perfect....bad news is Castor's case is a little to snug for my taste. Tried a spare Quorra in package, had to force her into case...bummer. Called CGA and still waiting to hear back from them. Agreed. He was my favorite new character, and knowing that the figure exists, but I can't have it is aggravating.
