Vintage Light Cycles

on Tuesday, March, 08, 2011 3:00 PM
Now I've got Kevin's Light Cycle up along next to Sams's & Clu's, I'm finding myself liking the look of it much more than Sam's & Clu's, in fact the whole Legacy film is pretty devoid of colour when you compare it to the original 1982 film, Legacy is like an excersize in CGI neon lighting effects.

Anyway has anyone thought of getting one of Kevin's Light Cycles and spray painting it matt black to match the one on young Sam's shelf?

Walmart bought the Asda supermarket chain here in the UK, I wonder if they'll ship it to an Asda store...

The prop fault, the white on the inside of the black Cycle's wheel?

It also got me thinking, how is the black Cycle lit up when it was on the grid, unless it was a stealthy Cycle.

That would be neat if they did Glitch ! I was looking on outside of black cycle for a flaw, didnt think about inner wheel housing. A black stealth light cycle.....Sounds wicked Glitch can find a picture of young sam holding Tron figure in his hands, Ive looked but havent found anything.

The black was one the resin master for Flynns legacy bike devoid of any detail. The color on the inside of the wheel was the color of the plastic tubes slid into the wheel. The white one is the full detail prototype used for the production scale toys sold on the shelf. It was also used as the prototype mock-up for the New York Toy Fair sales sample. I still, have both. ^_^abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

If I could get Kevin's vintage Light Cycle for $5 a piece I would certainly be buying a bundle of different colour spray paint cans as well!

I hit the jackpot at my local Walmart a couple of days ago. This weekend they had a half-off all clearance items, and the KF Light Cycle rang up for $4 in store. Got three KFs for $6.

Along with the ones I've picked up for the website I've got several to paint, and one in matte black has been at the top of the list since I saw the movie the second time.

Got an email that my 6 lightcycles are in at my local Wally World. Very fast turnaround. I'll pick them up probably this weekend. Awesome deal!

Take the two obvious screws out, then you need to pry the two halves of the cycle apart evenly so they're always perfectly parallel, they're held together by several pins/sockets that are molded into the shell and can be snapped off if you're not real careful when prying the two halves apart.

Lol. Yeah, i applied outward pressure to each half, and the thing "derezzed" into what seemed like a billion pieces... but it's apart now, and all pieces accounted for! Thanks Glitch!
ROFL too funny

Picked up my 6 cycles from Walmart today (store pickup). Ironically, they are shipped to Walmart in packages of 6. So I got an unopened SpinMaster box with 6 cycles that never saw shelf time. They even had tissue paper between each box. LOL. I think I'm done now with the KF lightcycles
