I have started a new project, I am building a section of Flynn's hideout from the movie.
I am also making his meditation costume, hence why I was asking about the meditation pillow fabric.
I got almost all the materials already and will start assembly withing the next week or two.

I didn't see any Tron updates on R2-CM (did I not look far enough?).

I want to see your work because your droids look fantastic.
Are you doing full scale or something for the 3.75" figures? (I totally want to make set pieces for 3.75" figs someday.)

The room project is also listed as the bed frame project. LOL
No this prop piece I am building will be full scale but only a small area of the room.

Got a section of the floor welded up today and light up. Looks pretty darn close to what the floor in the movie looks like.

Notice the posted picture of Flynn's meditation scene. What were the small whatevers floating up from the floor? Thought that was kinda weird.

Just CGI blue light kinda like what was in the fireplace. Once it comes out on DVD I will give it a better look.

I saw your link, it looks just like the movie, great work..
What is the thickness of the acrylic plastic you used? Also do you mind telling me the lighting source? I would love to redo an entire room with this flooring if there's enough depth.

Can anyone post or point out to me a diagram of K. Flynn's pad in the movie? I haven't quite been able to figure out the layout of where the bedrooms and such are and I'm into my eighth viewing.

The impression i get is it is a very simple rectangular shape with a added large balcony outside that runs the length of the 'apartment'. The few other areas/rooms we get to visit during the course of the film are all just open attachments.
One photo i was looking at shows Kevin's bedroom completely visable from the main room itself. I find that interesting as Sam and Quorra both had their own rooms next to each other with closing doors. I suppose they are 'Guest rooms' and they would want privacy..thus the doors.
It seems just about everything else is just set up in the large main room..the big rectangular apartment. He even parks his bike in there!

It is steel and very expensive special 1/2 inch plastic. A whole room would cost $20,000 or more just for the plastic! (not including shipping)
Today I started on the hideouts fireplace and blue flames.
I just got done making Kevin's bracelet like in the movie. That took forever to make!
