anyone know what the going rate for this figure is?
oddly i can't even find much info on him, outside of what i already know.
it's a repro of the original tomy warrior (guard) figure cast in a smokey grey plastic and painted with orange detail instead of the red plastic/details.
it was the preorder gift from Electronics Boutique when you picked up Tron 2.0 on pc.

The last one I saw went for 199.99 Buy It Now on the electronic bay.

Heh heh last one I just got off of ebay about 2 months ago, was in a video game swag lot. I got it and a halo masterchief for $15 shipped.
$200 seems way over the top, some people just shoot for the stars with their buy it now prices.
I would say $50-$75 might be a reasonable amount if it's still in the baggy sealed. Half that if it's loose.
EB and gamestop both had them as a swag preorder item for tron 2.0(console or PC), I think gamestop had purchased EB by then and hadn't yet switched over all the stores names.

Wow that's pretty sweet.
I wasn't paying attention to Tron stuff during 2.0.
I've got the Smoke Sark w/ light cycle, and hope to pick up Smoke Flynn w/ light cycle once the Tron stuff dies down. Or just asked for one after they had given out the ones to pre-release customers...

well yeah, i got some from a friend after the game came out.
when i went to pick up my pre-order and my figure, he just handed me a small box of them.
i was curious because i really don't need the half dozen i have still in baggies.
just getting a ballpark idea because i'd like to at least trade them with other collectors for other tron merch.
also when digging in the attic, i found the tron 2.0 jet standee. i want to put it up but i don't have much free corner space.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

So I assume that is the yellow cycle referenced in the other thread that 'never came out?'
I got Neca Tron and Flynn carded a month or so ago.
I really missed the boat on those, I was such a fan of the original toys (and still have them) but didn't realize all that stuff came out when Tron 2.0 came out. Hopefully filling out my collection won't be too painful, at least I know what all is out there now.

...but I've never seen the guard in that variant.

When the 20th Ann. DVD came out and the NECA toys came out I grabbed a pile of them, some from US retailers online and even then the Light Cycles ended up costing me in the region of £25 each:
The loose guard is an original 1981 Tomy as is the top (orangey) Light Cycle, a smoke grey Sark is still in the Light Cycle box, everything else is NECA. Still wishing I'd bought two red NECA Light Cycles, so I could keep one in it's box.
I too would be interested in a smoke grey guard.

No kidding. I was just making an offer on a set of Tron figures... missing assessories, missing ripcords, and the guy wanted top dollar. Ends soon, I don't think it'll be selling.

The price is the price. Shipping is expensive. When I sold a deluxe ID disc to someone in California it costs nearly $10 to ship that by itself.

yeah, i experienced the same issue shipping prop replicas my company makes.
costs 12 bucks per just to ship in the US, and the damn thing only weighs half a pound.
i have a ton of the retro figs, NECA reissue and my originals from when i was 3, i'm a bad collector i tend to take them out of the packages and display them in my house.
as for what i'd trade for, i'm not sure just yet.
i wouldn't mind seeing what damage reduction it would do for one of the UK recognisers,
and the wave 3 2" figures.
(mainly it hit me how much closer to scale the rec would be like on display surrounded by all the 2 inchers around it. currently the wave 1 figures are duking it out in front of my vfx/color correction setup.)

You want one? I have one of the first 20 made and it's in a nice plastic tube. One of the benefits of working on TRON 2.0 at the time.

I paid $250 for my first complete set of loose original TOMY TRON figures that I had in a case. I gave those to Syd Mead at a meeting for TRON 2.0. It cost me $450 to replace them, and that was in 2003. To get them on cards is ridiculous. Even I won't pay those figures.
