Just FYI, some of the extra tracks he's advertising aren't the real deal. He sent me a .rar, and they're mostly just tracks already on the soundtrack renamed. One of them sounds like a fan edit, one of them is just Outland Pt I stuck onto a piece of Adagio For Tron, and another is a rip of bg music from one of the flash sites for Tron... don't remember which. Either way, don't worry guys, you're not missing any of the officially released pieces of the score.

Unfortunately, for some reason, Europe always gets the full cd of everything, be it a soundtrack to a movie or any artist in general.
So when in doubt, check out the European Release before you purchase a copy in the US. Chances are, Europe will always have bonus tracks we don't get.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with you, dude. It was generous, and I thank you for the offer. I'm just pointing out to everyone that no, they didn't miss some exclusive download somewhere. Someone decided to take advantage of your collecting nature. It happens to the best of us.

I didn't. People take advantage in other ways. I've been an avid Daft Punk fan and completist since early 2007, and people have generously sent me all sorts of MP3s claiming they were unreleased tracks, remixes from rare vinyls, yada yada yada, and asking me to just tell everyone I got it from them. 9 times out of 10, they were horrible fakes and/or it was a remix they did themselves hoping to get some attention. One such instance was last year's 'The Third Twin' fiasco. A producer duo started a myspace page, and led everyone to believe they were Daft punk creating a new pseudonym to release an early draft of the Tron Legacy soundtrack that Disney rejected. Some people bought it, and these 'The Third Twin' people rode the gravy train up to the top, getting booked for a festival where the posters claimed connection to Daft Punk. Daft Punk just debunked this in January, after tons of people seemed to think they had been given this awesome leak.

It's nasty business.
Third Twin - Evil Minds
"Daft Punk" - Fragile
"Daft Punk" - Prestige
Pilot Priest - Body Double ("Daft Punk - The Crash")
Among others... I'm a writer on an electronic music blog, and someone created a fake Daft pUnk management email address and sent us as well as several other blogs a 'promo' MP3... it sounded great, sounded real, it was tagged as track 7, Tron Legacy OST, Walt Disney Records, even listing arrangers and conductors in the ID3. It turned out to be an edit of a little-known Vangelis track from the late 80s.

Well, they claimed no connection. I assume they mean NO connection... and YouTube comments are breeding grounds for all sorts of false information.
