When some Superbowl pics or vids go up I'll link them, but anyone who is watching right now must know what I'm talking about...

Pretty sure it was them... a couple months ago there was a concert clip of one of them riding in on a flying lightcycle.
And it's not just the dancers glowsuits either. I saw it in the reflective tape the lead singers were wearing too. And also one of the symbols on the field (in the wide shots) was identical to the "arrow" buttons on Sark's command deck in the game grid.

First thing that crossed my mind when I saw it a few minutes ago. I had to mute my TV. Not a big fan of B.E.P. Really.
Oh and they did play Daft Punk's soundtrack during the pre-game show earlier when Adam Sandler was talking with Jennifer Aniston (sp?). order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Tron no longer has 'cult status'. Tron's cult status was gone when Legacy took the box office. That's like claiming Daft Punk is underground.
At any rate, I like the homage... Fergie's suit was lame, but Will.I.Am's costume was awesome!

It's definitely an homage - the BEP dig TRON in a big way too. I went to a concert many months ago in LA where one of them rode a TRON styled light cycle over the audience in the arena.
It was cool to see them pay homage again to TRON during the Super Bowl - more awareness for TRON for that matter.
-- and LOL - TRON's "cult status" flew out the window when the TR2N VFX test came onto the scene during Comic-Con '08. Castor from TRON: LEGACY - "Change the scheme..! Alter the mood...! Electrify the boys and girls if you'd be so kind.." |

B.E.P looked like the were performing on a light disc platform as well. Thought that was really neat.

Wow....
IMO Sometimes imitation and homage crosses the "flaterry" line and into the realm of extremely corny, and comes out to be what I consider is trying metaphorically put strips of steak in a cake made of motor oil, saw dust all dressed in a metal bikini and call it "cool" and "hip".. Gimme a break.

It's really no different from what you see at "ElecTRONica" at Disney's California Adventure Alan -- all the same stylings and elements. Castor from TRON: LEGACY - "Change the scheme..! Alter the mood...! Electrify the boys and girls if you'd be so kind.." |

not really. IMO there's a strong tecnho electronica theme at ElecTRONica which is more in line with a sci-fi vibe than over-produced Hip POP.
It's like if Slim Whitman dressed in hardcore Industrial Goth clothes and then started singing a country western song about Mary Jo down at the farm, is the prettiest farm girl around. It just doesn't really *fit* in my opinion.

Hip hop is closely tied to electronic music... and honestly, BEP is NOT hip hop. They're really pop electro these days, with some hip hop influence. where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Hench I call them Hip POP, as in watered down hip hop mixed with other generic Pop music elements into over produced "Hip POP"...
