Just a message to muse over the blantant simularities between the original Tron and Legacy. I think Legacy accomplished two things:
1) made a continuation for the first movie.
2) if you never watched the first movie, you can see basically the same plot just with more action, and better special effects.
When they made Legacy they knew what we liked, so they just made the original better.

So really I think Legacy is clever in how it can be a sequel, or if you REALLY were new to this and never saw the first movie, could watch Legacy and get the replay of what happened anyway.
