I don't really like how you lit up the button- it draws attention to the button and makes it look less like a disc and more like a toy. The light looks a little bit as if it were photoshopped on, but aside from that, those discs are awesome! I can't wait to see the costume that you may put with the discs!

I actually like the button. If I hadn't been told it was a button, I'd never have known...it just looks like a design to me.
What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!

On Tron: Legacy, you can actually see the button, but it doesn't function as a button. Instead, people behind the scenes use controllers to activate the lights and sounds. (Or so I've been told) Also evidenced by the fact that you can see the button even on the frisbee disc. However, on the Deluxe disc, it's used as a button.
Still, I think the lights draw too much attention to the button, and I'd prefer that it's discreet. I was showing my friend my discs, and they were all wondering how I'd gotten the disc to light up, which I explained was a program's mental connection to their disc. If the button had been lit as it is in Soulinertia's picture, it would have been obvious. order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

LWS, if you check out Soul's thread on the RPF, he goes into detail of the incredible amount of work he has put into these discs. From what I understand from his posts there, the number and brightness of the LED's inside the white disc caused light to penetrate the plastic. So he had to apply NUMEROUS (nine, I believe?) coats of black paint to the inside just to block the light from passing through the plastic. The light around the button is apparently just leakage from inside due to the extreme brightness. I don't think there was a feasible way to COMPLETELY block out the light around the edges of the button. I believe he even mentions this in his construction thread. Regardless, I think it looks fantastic!
Soul, I may be ordering a kit or two from you for Halloween time. if so, I'll contact you directly through RPF or via email. You do some excellent work, my friend! Keep it up!

Even with my disc mods, which basically use the stock number of LEDs, I have to use two coats of paint to block the light on the Kevin disc.
The stock white disc leaks light already but it's not so apparent until you put in an always-on light mod.

I think your disc looks super awesome, and I hope that the one I make for my costume (Clu yellow) will turn out half as good I just got the EL Wire and inverter yesterday but I need my dad's tools to really get going on it. That and I still need the LEDs, and my small parts from my local Radio Shack.
Thank goodness I inherited my dad's technical mind If anyone is interested I will be posting pics of my progress on my disc and costume as I go along :-) If I have time after doing mine hubby wants a jacket done (like Flynn's but an original design/color). I haven't been this excited over a project in a looooong time End of Line.
