I can't help think that the new recognizer with its fixed leg design is not as powerful as the previous. I realize its part of the new 'realistic' look. However the new recognizer seemed nothing more than an overblown transport (a very very cool looking one).
Maybe with the light jets it become more of a utility vehicle. I did note in the movie that there were many flying around in the background. I wouldn't have noticed if not for Evolution which has tons of them flying around and I thought when I went to see the movie again I'd watch for that and indeed I missed in the first viewing just how many were actually flying around as small specks in the background.

No.
The new Recos can fire energy projectiles. As seen in the flash back scene when it shows tanks and Recos blasting away and destroying the Iso city adjacent to the main city.
Recos are also shown firing energy blasts as well in Tron: Evolution.

In the original, the Recognizer only ever seemed capable of stomping on you.
If the new one can fire projectile-energy blasts like the old tank, it's definitely an upgrade.
I also thought it made sense for the new Recognizer's main body and flight deck to lower all the way to the ground once it landed. I never understood how programs were supposed to get in and out of the old version, because Flynn's literally has to form up around him thanks to his User Power. Presumably not all programs in the old system had this ability?

I would've thought elevators in the legs would be more efficient than having to use the power, and create the wear and tear on the body, of having the whole middle section lower...

Good points. I forgot the movie showed it firing shots ( I don't necessarily consider Evolution cannon, as games typically don't get that rank, same with books ).

Evolution is cannon, but 2.0 isn't. Disney's confirmed it, so until it gets retconned....

We don't know for sure the legs are indeed fixed. Whose to say they can't slide in under the elevator lift? Something we might see in Tron 3?where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

It's a simulation. I don't think there is actually any wear and tear.

I'm pretty sure "fixed" means "stays in one place", so I don't think the recognizer legs are fixed. Around the time when the solar sailer was docking, I believe I saw a stray leg. Could just be me seing crap, but I think that's what I saw...

If you stop for a second to ponder it, the "stomp" of the original's central converging legs acted in quite the same manner that the new Recognizer's lowering flight deck does. The original didn't derez CLU, it captured him to be carried to and interrogated by the MCP. Stability-wise the newer Recognizers make quite a bit more sense and in all honesty look much cooler.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online
