Hiya, new member ahoy! A friend recently as a gift gave me his NECA TRON cycle. It has some white paint on the rear wheel and wondered if members here have any advice on possibly removing it. I tried "Goo be Gone" but no dice. It had no reaction to the rubber, but also didn't remove any of the paint. I assume is house paint of some kind but not sure.

Right, I was gonna suggest nail polish remover but really it's the same thing. Just make sure to rinse afterward to get it off.

Is it possible to just scrape it off gently with a razor blade?

Or if it's house paint, if it's oil-based, then mineral spirits, of course (careful--smelly. Yes, even the "odorless" kind. Nothing takes me back to my college painting class like the lingering odor of mineral spirits. I'm pretty sure I smelled like them 24-7 for the entire duration of the class).

yeah, 99% isopropyl alcohol is a great plastic non-corrosive option.

acetone should be a last ditch effort, in fact for toy paint removal i'd recommend 'goof off'.
it for whatever reason easily removes more difficult to remove paint apps like hasbro's and it takes much longer to eat at the plastic than acetone or naptha.
