Of course Daft Punk was utterly snubbed from participating in the Golden Globes for best original score. Hopefully that doesn't have an affect in keeping the score from being considered at the Academy Awards.

If it's not, I say REVOLT. If it gets snubbed there, well then, our next hope is the grammys... it deserves recognition. This score is definitely up with Star Wars, Hans Zimmer's King Arthur score, Howard Shore's LOTR... it's brilliant, immersive, and makes it so REAL!

As much as I would appreciate the "common" media and critic to see and hear Tron Legacy for the brilliant piece of sci-fi cinema it truly is, I can't say that my world would be shattered if they, as they have up to this point, ignored it entirely.
The Academy seems to be composed of nothing but short-sighted, self serving, egocentric, conceited, snobs who look at films much as critics do through a narrow, tunnel-like focus basing their limited opinions on past works with which they grade recent films. Not to mentions their also just a bunch of followers who don't want to upset the applecart by making any contrary opinions to the general consensus.
As long as Tron Legacy continues to bring in enough return for Disney to facilitate a 3rd film to complete this story properly, who really gives a damn what they think! It would be vindicating but otherwise just as useless as them telling me what THEY think was best of 2010! I've got a brain. however.. I do feel that TRON should win an award for it's special effects seeing as how the first film was unfairly disqualified for use of CGI
