Today theHDRoom reported that they were debuting/showcasing the actual, current artwork for the cover of the upcoming release of the original TRON movie on Blu-Ray (picture above). This image definitely looks like a mock-up and not final. For fun we'd like to see what you, the readers of TRON-SECTOR, can come up with in designing a faux cover for the Blu-Ray of the original TRON movie -- feel free to post your creations here -- and also feel free to try your hand at making a TRON: LEGACY Blu-Ray cover too if you like…! (also posted on home/news page) - Jay

I too like one of the first two covers posted. No need to eliminate Yori (Cindy Morgan) off of the cover of the original TRON. It's bad enough that they left her out of TRON Legacy.
Plus, the original pose is classic & very much associated with TRON.
Okay, I just saw that in the other thread this looks to be a fan made mock-up. I certainly hope so. I don't think they'd mess with the classic TRON poster or at least I hope not.

I would think that using the legacy tron logo on the classic re-release might lead to better sales because of brand recognition, to be honest.

I don't care. Tron is Tron and Legacy is Legacy. That's like calling it "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark." That's just WRONG. |
Besides, the name Tron is already recognizable because of the movies. I highly doubt sales will be lost just because the Legacy Emblem isn't on the Original Tron's.

If that is the real cover it is so lame! It's looks like a Jr. High School art student put it together.. No offense to Jr. High School students everywhere! But I've been designing my own covers for the original and I even got Actress Cindy Morgan to give me thumbs up on some of the designs at FaceBook. I really think they should do something like I did! Because if I hadn't ever seen the first movie in my life- I wouldn't want to buy the movie looking at that current cover! Here is one of mine but bare in mind I'm still tweaking things in PhotoShop.
