My 6 year old daughter and I have a father-daughter bonding tradition of going on "camping trips" in the family room in my house and we usually do this once a week on fridays or saturdays. Each trip has a theme, so the camping trip tonight is a Tron themed trip.
My daughter and I plan on playing with our Tomy Tron Light Cycles with the ripcords, so I'd like to ask you all to share your favorite memories of how you used to or still play with your light cycles with the ripcords.
When I was a kid I would either race my light cycle against a friend's light cycle, or I'd set up a ramp and jump the light cycle over things... this is my yellow Tomy light cycle now that many of you have seen pics of in my other posts... that is my favorite toy and you can tell by all the "battle scars" you see on that cycle.
I was hoping to get some ideas of other games that my daughter and I can incorporate our light cycles into.
Thanks,

I only had one lightcycle, the yellow one. A close friend of mine had both a red and a yellow, so often when we played together I would bring my action figures over (I had TRON and SARK) and he would lend me his yellow lightcycle. He loved the red more. He only managed to get two figures (FLYNN and THE MEMORY GUARD) before the line was discontinued so I let him play with SARK every so often. He never would let me play with FLYNN however which was quite disappointing. After a few years when other toys became more important (Don't hate me) he gave me the Memory guard action figure. Other than that I remember zooming around my kitchen with the lightcycle. I remember one day I accidently drove the cycle into the wall and it hit so hard the canopy opened and broke my TRON figures head off. I was so pleased with myself that I did an excellent job of crazy gluing his head back on. My dad was pleased I didn't cry or ask him to buy me another. Now, TRON, SARK the Guard and the Lightcycle all sit on my bookshelf in the den where my computer is. They are my "executive toys" as I like to call them. "Word to the Motherboard!" - IsoLine |

I have a vintage Red light cycle. In my younger days it would be driven by TRON and sometimes even Darth Vader. The cycle was the fastest....better than the landspeeder on Tatooine, and a snowspeeder on Hoth. TRON and Flynn had some good battles against my AT-AT's and Tie Fighters. ;-)
