Handheld console on Flyn's sofa?

on Wednesday, January, 05, 2011 7:37 AM
Saw Tron Legacy last night, brilliant :-)
One question though, when Sam enters the secret room behind the Tron game in Flyn's arcade, there is a cut away shot to a handheld device on the sofa. Does anyone have a screen grab or know what the console was? It looked like it had an LCD screen and a few buttons on the front, one of them red?

thanks for any info,

regards,

Kerwin. where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

That was Flynn's "Coleco Electronic Quaterback", a real handheld game from 1980. Flynn was playing it breifly in the original TRON.

Yeah, I was a little more fond of the Mattel (I had the dark green) one. It seemed a little more advanced, but I believe Coleco had more of the one on one action handhelds where 2 (not have to pass the handheld - head to head) people could play simultaneously at once (imagine that!). At least I seem to recall one of their Basketball versions having that.

These LED handhelds where way fun for me as a little kid. Heck, it's all we had back then. Blinky light games. Still remember the touchdown charge ta da da da sound for the Mattel version. Cool that they re-issued some of them a few years back.

Okay, now I'm on a nostalgia kick.

Wow!

That brought back some memories! My cousin had a rare TRON portable game that looked like a mini-arcade machine. Here's a picture of it

As well as the excellent site that archived the TOMY 80's handheld games.

Love the TRON handheld videogame photo. I believe Cindy Morgan has a working one for sale. You can e-mail her official website (cindymorganinfo@aol.com) for more info or if anyone's interested in purchasing it.

I had both the MB Microvision game and the Tomytronic TRON too. I still have the Tomytronic Tron, that thing is my baby. The Microvision however was destroyed by a friends dog.....all I have left is the LCD screen.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Yeah, Coleco Electronic Football, baby!!! I had that when I was a kid--always liked it better than Mattel's because it had blockers. That and my Pulsonic electronic baseball game were my favorites.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

I still have one of those! I bought it about 26 years ago when the toy store at the mall had it on the bargain table for $15. Ah yes, back when hand held games were simple LED lights and sound. Maybe we'll see Sam playing it in the next one.

I used to have the 3D Sky Attack one that looked a lot like tanks and Recognizers from Tron. Used to play it all the time. Not sure what happened to it though.

Oo I'm glad this got posted. I was wondering what it was too. Each time I've seen it I couldn't get a good look. I never had one of those. I did have, still, do, an original Game Boy.

Yeah, the green Mattel football was actually Football 2 with the white being Football or Football 1. Coleco did indeed have a two person head to head football and then baseball.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

This thread is awesome! Just watched the original Tron movie for the first time since I was a kid and noticed Flynn was playing some type of portable gaming device ... but couldn't make out what it was. I thought, "What the hell, I'll google it," and to my delight it brought me here! Thanks programs!
