Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about all that overpriced designer stuff. That stuff doesn't even remind me of Tron that much, to be honest with you. I mean, let's be honest about two things: 1. I understand they know their market will be mostly male (though heh, we're talking geeks here; I'm not sure I'd underestimate geeky dudes who either would be in relationships with geeky chicks, or who would be in relationships with non-geeky chicks and buy them the stuff anyway. "Oh, gee honey, a Tron shirt...um...I'l, uh, totally wear it to the spa, yeah...") and 2. Yeah, I know we can wear men's/unisex shirts and I got no problem with that. And I can't say I'm really all that enamored with the "babydoll" shirts marketed to women, or the assumption that because I'm female I want to wear something low-cut. But there are women's t-shirts that DO fit our bodies differently without also having to be cutesy or show more skin than we want to show. So let's have it!

I don't even need Quorra The Explorer marketing (though yeah, I do totally think it'd be cool for little girls. And let's face it, too: my partner tells me watching Tron as a kid is part of what got him into computers. Let's do that for girls. Please. I didn't start liking computers until I was too old for it to matter; I didn't grow up in a geeky household where I had a parent who had me taking apart and programming a Commodore or anything, so I am still and probably always will be simply an advanced end user. And it's quite possible that other girls may indeed have the same existence I did--no geeks in the house, so no interest in Tron, so no exposure to Tron. And those who do, may've gotten there anyway. But for the few who otherwise may not have been interested...it'd be awesome if Tron helped them realize something new that they're into).

Anyway, tangent aside. I just want cool clothing, without having to raid the mens' or boys' section hoping to find something small enough to fit me, and without having a choice of two designs in women's shirts (since I'm pretty picky about it).

Oh yes, and if I can go back to the "is or is not Sam hot" topic for just a moment....for the record I'd like to say that if they had cast Chris Pine for the role (and I definitely think he could've pulled it off; Kirk was pretty much the same type of character in the new Star Trek movie, after all, which is probably why CP comes to my mind at all; in fact I wonder how much of Sam's character was actually inspired by that), there would definitely be no debate over "Buddy Sam" on my part...
