TriggerEXE Wrote:Very cool. I think if anything I'll get one of the white ones since its a stark contrast to the Sam's.

But no one has answered my question yet. Is there a better way to display them than using the stands, and has anyone else had the same trouble I've had with the stands? The one I have tends to fall apart very easily, so I had to tape it together in an open shape. It also tends to lean to one side.

My Sam disc stand is flimsy because I unfolded it too far. The others are okay. As for display, some kind of modern coat hook might be cool.

Or maybe a steel magnet board?

There's a version of Sam's disc that is just for throwing and doesn't light up. It only has paint on one side and its kind of like half a disc. The one that lights up is the deluxe disc and is the whole thing. The outer ring is a clear blue plastic and has a button to make the lights and sounds.

What I would do to create a hanging Disk display is check out some of the hooks in the 3M Command Adhesive line. No pun intended but I got hooked on them recently when I wanted door hooks for the bathroom and closet doors and didn't want to mess with screws or nails. They come in various sizes and have an adhesive pad that is not only pretty strong, but when you pull the special tab, it stretches the adhesive off the wall without leaving a mark or any tacky residue. The hooks can be resupplied with another adhesive pad and re-used as well.

What ticks me off are these people that know employees who work for Target, and get the discs BEFORE they ever hit the shelves. Then they go on Ebay and basicly rip fans with the prices they ask. Unreal. Here in Ohio a Target employee was fired for not shelving the Rinzler discs, and Kevin Flynn discs. As he was placing stock on the shelves he would put those discs to the side so their his friends could buy them later that day. When I was there a lady happen to be in the same isle while this employee was stocking the shelf with Tron stuff. She saw the Kevin Flynn disc and asked for it. The employee told her it was damaged and he has to have it placed in the back to be sent back to the supplier. Not believing this LIAR she asked the store manager about the toys section policies. The manager confornted the employee, and that employee was later terminated. Turns out he was holding back all the popular rare figures, discs etc so he and his friends could sell that at inflated prices to local shops, and on Ebay. This is the same BS that happens for all popular toys, and is most frequent at Toys R Us.....the worst of them all for this practice.. The Kevin Flynn and Rinzler discs are not rare, this paractice makes them appears that way. Its a real shame.

I STILL have yet to see the Rinzler or Kevin discs at any stores in the Seattle area. So I feel the pain of those of us whom have yet to see them.

Can anyone tell me whether or not the light-ups are viable as toys? The box says they're not meant to be tossed or dueled with, but then the same goes for the ForceFX lightsabers, which everyone swears are practically bullet-proof.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

The discs themselves are pretty sturdy. I wouldn't throw them (or let my kids throw them) because they are fairly solid and heavy and would hurt people they were thrown at. They would also easily leave dents in walls and break glass items.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

The edge of the disk is a blue transparent rubber like ring (its supposed to represent the glowing edge) and that acts as a nice bumper but a truely solid and hard blow could break the disc.

Wow, so the replicas that are meant to be display pieces got the rubber edge and the actual Frisbee toy got hard plastic? That's... backwards.

I thought the Frisbee version was all foam? Truthfully I have only seen the Frisbee version once and that was as part of a display at the Disney store.

Nope, and it's the very first thing I noticed about it when I took it out. In fact, due to the narrow width of the edge, I'm pretty convinced that it could crack a skull if used as a melee weapon.

I can't be the only that's tried this, can I? They don't fly well at all because they are not balanced. I suppose you could open them up and somehow affix fishing lead to balance it out, but it'd be pretty darn heavy. It'd do some serious damage

I really need to hunt me down one of them Rinzler disks. I've only seen, and have, Sam disks around here. I'm not sure if I'd want two Rinzlers or just stick with one and the Sam disk.

Although apparently making mine known has caused a bit of stir amongst my friends. I can only foresee disk battles at this point...

In this age, I really can't fathom how they weren't able to engineer a proper flying light-up disc that is safe enough to toss around the back yard. Since the introduction of superbright LED's and EL-wire, light-up frisbees aren't exactly rocket science anymore, and flying 'rings' have been around since the 80's, though I can't remember the last time I saw one of those.

I was thinking of trying to build my own and then dropped the idea, figuring that somebody would have it covered with this movie. Apparently not...
