As much as I appreciate Tron Guy I wouldn't want to be sitting in a theatre with anyone wearing a glowing suit and a helmet.

I like Jay, but frankly, after a couple of recent interviews where there were quotes about his being "snubbed" in the new film, I lost some respect for him.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

What, like I died or something?
This is my 8th year on TRON Sector, with some gaps here and there.
Yes, still in the games biz, out at 2K Games in Northridge running 2K Sports and 2K Play QA teams.
I'm not familiar with your handle, do we know each other from someplace?

He is. I don't remember his ID. He is an infrequent visitor at best
Jay Maynard and I know each other, but we are two completely different people. I would never dress up in costume......ever! Not a pretty thought.
I headed up the QA teams at Disney Interactive for TRON 2.0 back in 2003 and I run an archive of physical and digital materials for TRON that Steven Lisberger and I started back in 2003. It is used by various people from TRON and Disney from time to time.
The cultural relevance piece played at D23 and Comicon recently was built from my materials. Disney took it to a new level for Comicon, but they built off my D23 piece.
The next place you will see some of my archives is on the TRON and TRON Legacy DVD/BluRays.
That's who I am. Jay is out there in the public eye, and I prefer to remain mostly in the background. Documenting the history of TRON quietly and making it available to those who need it.
Starting in January of 2011 you will begin to see the scope of it as more of my archives site comes online.

This might get me flamed, and no offense to Jay, but he looks ridiculous in that suit.
Perhaps if he had a physique that was flattering, it would be OK.
As it is, Tron Guy just looks... terrible.

There are others who share that view, I am not exactly one of them, but an upgraded costume might be warranted at this junkture.
Yes, I spelled it that way on purpose!!!

I was walking through downtown Berkeley with him one evening, when we were both attending a midnight showing of Tron. He was in his outfit, and I asked him if walking around that way made him feel uncomfortable. He answered: "No. I have no shame."
He doesn't care what anybody thinks, and I totally respect that.

Same reason I like him. It really doens't bother him. I went with him to an interview with G4 many years back and they tried to make fun of him during it but couldn't get him to crack. Ended up they were trying to find fun things to do for promo pieces with him I have a photo with him and a lightsabre someplace.

It's great to watch him at "work". At the theater we went to, he was doing a QA sort of thing with the audience. Bunch of drunk college students. They tried at first to tear him apart, he won them over within a minute.

I'm half and half here.
I say, let the guy see the movie he paid or was paying for. (He probably got advanced tickets like many other Tron fans.
But, I also say let the other people enjoy the movie. The lights would be disturbing if he were in front of me or beside me.
I admire his willingness to go despite what people think.
By the way, it's December, anything that would have assaulted the eyes of people would be.... dare I say "Shrunk"...?

That's awesome! So were you involved in the development of materials for the original DVD collectors extra content or was that before your time? |

The 20th Anniversary DVD was prior to my time doing this. My involvement this time is purely in providing materials, not development. The team that is working on the DVD/BluRays has chosen from pieces I have and used them in their production along with materials Disney has.
I got to see some of the pieces they've worked on and it looks good. Can't wait to see the whole thing.

I wore Steampunk costumes to TRON with other Steampunk folk. Second time I wore something resembling a TRON outfit (more like the new movie though).
As for TRON-Guy... looks pretty normal to me. What's the problem? :P
