This was already implied during the flashback scene where CLU 2 rectified Tron. Therefore, we wouldn't need to see it, though I didn't agree with Flynn running off though - it made it look like he was scared of CLU 2.

I've never understood Hollywood's basis for this bollocks. In Bollywood, the standard movie length is 2.5 hours. 3 or even 4 hour films are not uncommon. However the theatres are packed and the DVDs sell by the billions.
Something about the music, probably. But then again T:L certainly wasn't short on that, it's generally accepted that the soundtrack was one of the best aspects of T:L.

I would have made the movie retro-80s set in the time period after TRON up to when Flynn gets trapped in the arcade computer. It could have brought Member's Only Jackets, IZOD shirts, and chicks with big hair back in fashion.

If I had written Legacy, I would have chosen a different ending. had a chase through a maze in it.
Clu can change the grid like Flynn programmed him, right? So why not hunting Sam and the others down into a self-made maze with randomly build-up walls in front of Sam's head, unexpected traps. I wonder why they did not include sucha scene.Would've been a slightly better final climax than the overdone flight scene. ^^
I would have made the "I am bad... no I am good!!" twist of TRON himself a bit softer and longer. It looks to bumpy in the film.
Plus, I would have shortened the small story drop in the middle of the movie which led me to give Legacy "only" a 8,5/10 rating.
The story could have been so much better with few more effort and without being too complicated. Thats the problem when using writers of TV series as film authors.
