Well, surely once the title catches your attention; yes, just yesterday, on December 11th, a Canadian station aired the original TRON!

But here's the switch up. Usually, everything Disney ends up on a channel called Family in Canadian airwaves. Yet, for some different and completely surprising change; Canadian station YTV, a station that usually keeps Disney programming pushed to others; aired TRON at 8:00PM. Now, I ain't complaining, it gave me and perhaps others certainly a chance to watch the whole movie again before TRON Legacy premiered. And it did give quite the redeeming look into a tie-in with a few ads for Legacy itself, such as TV spots throughout the movie's commercial breaks, and a fair bit of TRON Legacy themed screen clutter, and a showing of the final trailer of TRON Legacy once the movie was over, but the real question is; is this a welcome change from a channel like YTV, that aired nary any Disney before? My answer; yeah, it's fairly welcome, if it's like this to air TRON.

Now, if I may also say; there's a small chance that Family, the other channel may air TRON as well; perhaps later in the week. But I figured, what with YTV's decision to air the original 1982 classic, I'd post this. And if anyone decides to ask; it remained as it was; unedited and in it's full glory.

I was right . They did show the original TRON on tv this month and follow it up with the trailer to Legacy. Now, if only the American market would follow through on this.
