Hi guys,
Have been a lurker for a while but had to come out of the grid to post.
Apologies if this is a stoopid question but google as I may, I haven't found a definitive answer.
What does the 786 reference mean? It appears on the side of the 'classic' lightcycle in the new film.

I was JUST watching the first half-hour of Tron today and I swear I saw 786 on one of the computer screens. Either when Flynn is hacking into the Encom system with Clu, or later when Alan first tries to access Tron but gets the "Tron program detached from system" message. If neither of those are it, it's seen when Flynn is at the computer in the laser bay, right before he gets digitized.
It went "0786..." with the ellipses there representing another digit or symbol, methinks.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Sounds plausible.
Unless Flynn has converted to Islam - there seems to be a reference between 786 representing Allah or something. lolz
Maybe I am just reading too much into it.

Not really. The number 786 has significance in numerology and in many religions.
786 in divine numerology is thus: 7 is the number of the divine, 8 is the number up leadership, and 6 is the number of man
786 is the "Basmallah" or an numeric invocation of Allah
786 is also the invocation of Hare Krishna also in Arabic
So there may be more to it than we know.

Maybe, maybe not.
The movie touted eastern philosophy quite a bit and a number of throwbacks to Zen and Zoroaster were included in many parts of the movie. Additionally, they sampled some Hebrew/Canaanite mysticism in the story. Particularly the idea of a fallen angel (CLU) who, through free will, turns against his creator (Flynn) in order to fulfill his role then, when finally confronting the creator, seeks approval and confirmation that what he did was right and just.
While it was just a movie, writers seem to sample a lot of this fringe mysticism to make the movies "deeper" or "edgier". Every symbol, number, or artifact carries some meaning. Be aware that most people that like Tron are puzzle solvers and detectives by nature.
