IMO, Disney may have made a huge mistake in picking DP especially since it is their first attempt at a soundtrack. I really wanted to with hold judgement until the full release, but everything I have heard so far has been just heavily repetitive samples. Is this is the only kind of music this rave "band" knows how to create?

In contrast to DP's efforts, listen to Toto's Dune soundtrack. An actual band that plays actual instruments. Or Danny Elfman's (Oingo Boingo) numerous soundtracks. Hell, even Marylin Manson's work on Resident Evil. Then I guess it wouldn't surprise you that the majority of the people (or demographic or so to speak) for this film will be geared more towards people whom are particularly fond of Daft Punk as it's their first major release for 1) a film soundtrack and 2) album in particular since their last one. I remember seeing that interview. That was a great interview! That interview was what made me really curious about Quorra and her role that she plays in the story.
