I haven't seen a 3d movie except on tv about 20 years ago that used the red
and green lens glasses. Is this IMAX 3d the same thing? I wonder if my tired
old nearsighted eyes will give me a headache after 2 hours and I might be

First off, that's not actually what the movie will look like in 3D. All the real-world scenes are 2D.

Secondly, IMAX 3D uses glasses with polarized lenses. Basically, they look like sunglasses, but each lens will completely block out one of the two projector's images. The left lens cancels out the right projector's image and the right lens cancels out the left projector's image. Not sure, but a friend wears glasses and had no problems watching Avatar in 3-D.

they showed the trailer in front of - of all things - SAW 3D this past week....it was in RealD 3D ,and i have to say it looked incredible...was only interested in a conventional 2D viewing,but now i think i'll spring the extra money for the 3D showing instead!
