Villain of Tron: Legacy Guesses?

on Wednesday, September, 01, 2010 4:38 PM

Dear Guys:

I have a couple guesses on who might be the "villain" of the upcoming Tron: Legacy, but I don't want it to come across as spoilers, and it's more speculation than anything else.

Based on the previews, that Flynn gets "stuck" in the computer world again until his son gets caught up in the web world as well, and the fact that the upcoming Graphic Novel that is supposed to be about the intervening years between the first movie and the upcoming was in entitled, "the Betrayal."

Patience . . . ..

Patience . . . . .

I'm going to guess that the villain, will be revealed to be . . . . .. . . Alan Bradley (Bruce Broxleitner's character).

That somehow after the events in the first film, Lori (Cindy Morgan's character) broke up with Bradley, and went back to Flynn, and they they had a son.

This got to Alan, who over the years got further and further in Flynn's shadows and after one night where Flynn come by to brag about he's going to do something that will change humanity "saw this in the promo's where Alan's talking to Flynn's son," Mr. Bradley finally had enough, snuck and got the old device and zapped Flynn back into the digital world.

Trapped again in this world, Flynn has been trying to make contact with his son over the years and has made some half-successful attempts, but when he gets too close, Alan figures out what he's doing and traps the son into the digital world as well.

Again, we won't know till the end what's going on, but that's my guess.

If I'm right I won't care for this, because I did like the Tron and the Alan Bradley character from the first film, and I would be severely disappointed if this happens.

I'm hoping it's too obvious and I'm wrong.

Opinions? Comments? Am I totally wrong.

This has been discussed in other threads already. It sucks that the search fuction doesn't work for right now, if it did I could find the right threads and post links to those threads where we were all talking about this subject.

i don't think alan will be a villain and not to burst your bubble but according to the viral marketing lori and alan are currently married and together. Sam Flynn's mom is a woman Kevin married named jordan.

as far as we know, the only villain is Clu and in terms of speculating what the comic book may be refering to in terms of "Betrayal" is possibly Clu betraying Kevin

The villains are going to be CLU and possibly Quorra in a twist (although, I'd take that with a grain of salt if I were you).

Anyway, It seems pretty straightforward to me. No MCP this time around, just a good ol' girly-screaming CLU!

SPOILER... Mouse Over To Read:
Also, Rinzler is Tron undercover, not corrupted or whatever. Although, Rinzler facing off against Sam (I think it's Sam) is kind of weird. Maybe he's putting on a show? Who knows.

I would like to know.. but then again.. I'd rather not get ahead of knowing who is the villian or good guy.. I'd rather wait for the film to come out.. so i can actually be surprised on whats to come!!

It's obviously Clu 2.0.

BUT.

I have a feeling there is someone else pulling Clu's strings. I don't want to say anything else but can only CLU you in one thing that has fueled my suspicion.

The actor:

John. Hurt.

He was listed in the IMDB database for Tron : Legacy.

Question. WHO is he playing? where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

I disagree - the guy that is in Kurt Hartington's profile (at: http://www.encominternational.com/people.htm) is a different actor.

I had a suspicion that John Hurt, IF it's true he's even in Tron Legacy(imdb, like wikipedia, is suspect due to people being able to change the information), may be some Dillinger-type character.

We'll see come December.

Pretty sure that is a stock model photo was used for Kurt Hartigan on that page.

Hartigan sure seems Dillinger-like to me from some of the e-mails and stuff on his former "hacked into" PC desktop.

And here I was going to leak that it was me going into the Encom System and streaking like crazy electronically. Mind you that might just cause a system halt on the system big time with either a huge malfunction on the multicore processor on the network there. Lol

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

I think Alan Bradley is a stand up guy. He doesn't seem like the kind of person that would betray his old friend like that. While he takes care of his business at the company, he still has an interest in the well-being of his friend's son, but he can only do so much from afar as Sam is a bit more reckless and independent than his father used to be.

This other guy that was mentioned as being in the cast might be the actor that plays CLU, as (if I'm not mistaken) Jeff Bridges only lends his "face" and voice to the character, not his real physical self. (Kind of like how James Earl Jones lent his voice to Darth Vader).
