I must say I am a bit suprised noone started this thread before.
I am the kind of guy who after playing Portal found a reason to explore the HalfLife universe.
So to me; this is to me the most important event of the E3.
I am emotionaly atatchet to this game. Sorry folks, but this has higher lookingforwardtoo rating than evolution. ---------------------------------------------

Portal is pretty awesome looking and I love the mechanics of the game, and the sequel seems very interesting.
Though I feel the most awesome things shown at E3 was the Nintendo 3DS, Kirby Epic Yarn, Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, and Lost in Shadow.

I'm highly anticipating Portal 2, I can only hope that it has the charm and intriguing puzzles of the first; however some gameplay footage I saw looks very promising.
A little off topic, but I was disappointed with the graphics of Skyward Sword. I was really hoping they'd stick the with the Twilight Princess look instead of staying in spirit with Wind Waker. WW was a great game, and tried something new that worked with the art style but I wish they would leave it in the past and go with TP.

Off topic;
but I love the visual style of Skyward Sword, it's basically a blend of Wind Waker's art style with the art style of Twilight Princess and touches of A Link to the Past.
In my opinion it would of been a little dull to rehash TP's visual style over again.
Which is why many modern games I have grown tired of because either visually or gameplay wise have gotten a bit overly generic.
Generic straightforward gameplay is alright sometimes depending on execution and presentation, but if the visual design, style and presentation is excessively busy and only has 4 color tonal pallete of mostly greys, dull blues, and dull sepia tones, it just way to dull to me now. I think Skyward Sword looks great so far.
