Hi all. It was recommended by a fellow member, that I post this here as well, but I'm doing a small private run of signs just between us arcade collectors and fellow Tron enthusiasts (I will not be stocking these for general sale to the 'regular' public). There are three different signs that I have quotes on (well two signs anyway, one of which is in two different sizes).
PRICES INCLUDE SHIPPING HERE WITHIN THE STATES!
This is an INTEREST list only, and not a commitment at this time **EDIT: I AM NOW TAKING PAYMENTS AND WOULD LIKE TO PLACE THE ORDER BEFORE THE END OF MARCH**. Once the interest list has hit the minimum ordering numbers, I will contact you individually to see if you are really in.
The following sign will be a big 18"x20" in size in red NEON, and will come with all the hanging hardware needed to hang the sign. They are made with all U.L. parts and the signs will come with a two year warranty as well.
This sign is based on the tabletop NEON lamp seen in Flynn's apartment. This sign must be hung though and is not a NEON sculpture on a base.

This next sign will be an animated LED sign available in two sizes at a huge 27"x30" and an enormous 30"x36". I must order at least 5 of one size in order to get that sign made. The animated GIF shown here is only a sample of the sign animation, but they will made of red LEDs as opposed to NEON to make them more affordable and easier to ship. They also come with all hardware necessary to hang the sign as well as being made of al U.L. parts and having a 2 year warranty.
This sign is based on the animated recognizer neon sign seen on the interior wall of Flynn's arcade (If anyone has a couple screenshots of this from the movie feel free to post them). An animated neon sign of this size would be astronomical in price and tough to ship as well, which is why I opted to get them done in animated red LED.

Keep in mind that since the numbers are growing and we already have the minimum amount of sign ups to place an order for the 18x24 neon signs once I collect funds, I'll probably email or PM you pretty quickly to discuss payment once you've signed up on the list just so we can get this moving along. Also keep in mind that this is a one-time thing and I won't be doing another run of these after this round, which is why I was hoping to get a maxed out sign-up list. I don't think I'll be posting this on the 501st Legion boards, since it's only really Tron/arcade related, so you folks here and on KLOV will be the only folks able to take advantage of this run

So there are NO takers here? Not even a PM with questions? Again, I won't be doing another run of these after this closes, so this is it folks. If someone else wants to take on another group order in the future that's one thing, otherwise you'll be paying a shop for producing ONE sign if you decide you want one in the future, which will be considerably more spendy than taking advantage of a group order.
I'll add a few final details that aren't listed above that I just posted on the KLOV boards yesterday:
" OK, I just talked with the production lead and I have the following answers below to the above questions:
* There are TWO backing options. We can do them all black acrylic backing, or we have the metal grid backing. There are 2 metal rods going vertical and 2 going horizontal. You usually see this backing with beer or bar signs. Which ever backing you choose will be on all the signs, since its a quantity order they all have to be identical.
* I verified that the turn-around time will in fact be approx. 6-7 weeks max. since the shop is getting really booked up since I made my initial inquiry a few weeks ago. They say if it's a deal breaker, we may be able to get them done sooner, but upon thinking about it, I really don't want to have to put that kind of pressure on them and risk quality if we don't have to. This is just one more reason why I want to get the orders placed as soon as possible Is this cool with everyone? These are a lot of signs after all, and we're kinda taking awhile to filling up the list and submitting the order.
* CLEAR glass will be used, as neon is naturally reddish/orange anyway. The glass itself will not be colored.
*The LED's used for the animated signs will be either 5mm, or 8mm in size and will have diffused casings, which allows more distributed light giving the sign more of a "neon" glow. It is recommended that because of the large size of the signs, that we use 8mm LED's.
This all being clarified, I think it's probably a good time to put a cap on the sign-up sheet since workflow in the shop is a factor and I know I would personally, as well as many of you who have signed up I'm sure, like to see these in the ol' arcade as soon as possible
Does a cut-off of this Wednesday work for most of you? At that point, I'll halt the sign-up sheet and start contacting you individually to discuss payment if that's cool.
Basically, I just need to know at this point (in addition to some last minute sign-ups) if:
1.) The majority of you who are ordering an 18x20 NEON want a BLACK ACRYLIC backing on the NEON signs, or do you prefer the METAL FRAME backing? Remember, the whole order has to be one or the other, so you must be flexible if the majority chosen isn't your preferred option.
2.) If in fact you really are in. If the number for the Neon signs, drop below the TEN mark do to drop-out sign-ups, we may not get the "TEN Piece" price for the neon's. Keep in mind that I did negotiate an additional $5 discount off the initial price I posted.
3.) This applies ONLY to those that are ordering animated LED signs: If we don't reach the "FIVE Piece" mark, I will try to negotiate the FIVE Piece discount anyway, since I'm sure the shop doesn't wants to keep the business. Would those of you that were only in contingent upon us getting a "TEN Piece" or "TWENTY-FIVE Piece" break, still be OK ordering if we were to only get the "FIVE Piece" break? As with the above NEON's, keep in mind that I did in fact already negotiate a $5 discount to my initial posted prices.
Keep in mind anyone who has been sitting on the fence, This is a ONE-TIME run and I won't be doing another run of these, as I'm hoping to just keep these on the DL somewhat within the arcade and Tron enthusiast communities and avoid any potential "copyright" issues with Disney the closer the new movie is to being released......."order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Yeah, tough times all-over it seems
A bit of sticker shock at first I'm sure, but considering that these are custom fixtures on a limited one-time run, hopefully that could sway folks into considering it.
I'm hoping that maybe folks could see the potential of possibly being able to consider it an investment since there aren't anymore of these around and someone might be willing to pay a decent price or them down the road if they were in the market to sell.

Man I love the look of my own post....LOL. Seriously though, if anyone has access to the RPF, I'd LOVE to get a link to this thread (or the one on KLOV) posted. I've been trying to get on those board since I joined the 501st back in 2003 but keep missing their "open" enrollment I'd absolutely love to get those LED sign numbers bumped up so we can get the TEN PIECE prices (yes, I'll gladly refund the difference to anyone who's paid for an LED or give you credit toward an 18x24 Neon )

Last call then this thread is closed as of tomorrow afternoon. Order goes in tomorrow, Wednesday the 3/31. There will be no 27"x30" signs produced at all due to lack of interests and last minute drop-outs
