Hey everyone... I know we had a thread like this years ago but I can't find it. Nevertheless, I'm just wanting to build a little list of some of our favorite movies from the 80's.... Some I can't remember the titles to but would still like to see again.
I'll start off...
TRON (of course)
Spies Like Us
Better Off Dead
Real Genius
My Science Project
Weird Science
Ice Pirates
Conan: Barbarian (and Destroyer)
Escape from New York
Labyrinth
Legend
Top Gun
Over the Top
Night of the Comet
Ghostbusters
Red Dawn
The Wrath
Love at First Bite
Sure Thing
One Crazy Summer
Back To The Future
Peggy Sue Got Married
Porky's
Revenge of the Nerds
Goolies
Gremlins
Poltergeist
Beetlejuice
The Explorer
Flight of the Navigator
Time Bandits
...........
Ok, that's all I can think of at the moment... Add to the list... I'm going to go on a shopping spree and buy a bunch of 80's classics soon on DVD...

The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What did they look like? Ships? Motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day. I got in. |

How about the "other" pioneering CGI movie from the 1980's:
The Last Starfighter
Adding to the list:
Raiders of The Lost Ark ("Snakes...why did it have to be snakes...")
E.T. The Extraterrestrial (I wanted a Kuwahara BMX bike so bad, but never got one.. )
The Breakfast Club ("Could you describe the ruckus, sir?")
Ferris Beuller's Day Off (Ahh...Mia Sara as Sloane Peterson...what a hottie!)
