At the start of the teaser Sam is wearing a motorcycle helmet when he is on the freeway and cuts in front of the truck and jumps the ramp. When he arrives at Flynn's, he doesn't have it on. Either something happens on the way or they are two different motorcycle scenes.
My thought is the first one is going from the Encom building, standing on the crane(what was he doing there?), back to his warehouse apt.

He most likely the scene when he goes to Flynn's arcade is in a different day / frame of time (after he's racing around jumping off highway ramps. and he didn't have a helmet on then.
Sam does base jumping, so when he's on top of the Encom building he was probably going to base jump off the crane.
