@ Captain,
The Disc in the left of the picture is the Deluxe Sam Flynn Disc. It lights up and I believe makes noises, did not get to see them demo it. It has transparent blue plastic on the edges and other places to allow it to glow. If you look carefully you can see the card next to it also states its the Deluxe version.
the Disc on the right of the picture is the standard disc.
This one looks to be made for throwing and has a solid light blue color soft foam/plastic on the edges and in accent points.
From the display case,
The Deluxe version did look a bit smaller than the regular version in person.
Hope this information helps.
I also have plenty of other pictures of the toys from SDCC as well as the other new Tron merch coming out. If anyone is interested post here and I will slamm some more up

Unfortunately, it does not glow in the dark. This was a bummer to myself and everyone else working on the toy line. But, it does fly quite well.
Also, the Deluxe Identity Disc is a bit smaller...it is the exact size of the props used in the Tron Legacy movie. The Identity Disc is larger for flight purposes.

I was wondering does the delux disc fly as well or is that one meant only for display/showing off lights and sounds? also is blue the only color available for the delux disc? "You know you don't look a thing like your pictures?" |

Very disappointed to hear that the regular Identity Disc doesn't have glow-in-the-dark accents. *sigh*

I think all the toys look awesome, and the delux identity disc looks kick a**.
I'm just disappointed about the regular Identity Disc doesn't glow in the dark. If I get one I may have to buy some glow-in-the-dark spray paint and mask off the black segments and then paint the rings on it so they glow... order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

It's understandable. Like I said, we were disappointed too. Unfortunately, these things often come down to cost (No glow in the dark-Basic Disc) & safety issues (not a flying toy-Deluxe Disc). You'd be surprised how expensive it would have been to adhere to modern Glow-in-the-dark safety standards while also
a.) molding the entire disc in glow-in-the-dark plastic
or
b.) painting large portions with glow-in-the-dark paint.
In the end, a 'frisbee' isn't meant to be played with in the dark anyway, so everyone involved agreed that this was the best path to go down while still offering a flying Disc at a reasonable price point. I think both discs are good items, they just have very different purposes.
The good news is, what was shown at Comic Con isn't the end of line for Tron toys.
Sorry if any of that sounds like something a 'company-man' would say, just trying to give you some insight as to why certain decisions are made. We want awesome toys too

Is the deluxe disc really labeled as "Not a Flying Toy"?
If so then you have partially fulfilled all of my childhood dreams.

you know what would be kinda cool?
If they had a playset of the End Of Line Club. and it came with Daft Punk action figures (maybe even a steven lisberger bartender figure) and have lights and sounds
(for sounds have it play music from the movie..or have it so u can hook uo your mp3 player to it)
I also think it would be cool if there were toys bassed on Tron Evolution.
a figure of ANON would be awesome.

NECA re-issued the original TRON action figures and lightcycles during the days of TRON 2.0. I think NECA still has the license for the original TRON toys. You can find them on Ebay at various prices these days. "Word to the Motherboard!" - IsoLine |
