Memorabilia threads are awesome.

Ten years ago today, the Sega Dreamcast launched in the United States:


Eventually, it was overwhelmed by the PS2's ability to play DVD's. Sega eventually quit the console business entirely.

So dig out your Dreamcast and give it a good couple hours of not sitting in a closet somewhere.


Also this year, the Sega Genesis (known as Mega Drive to European gamers) turns 20.

I think I still have the DC map pack for Quake III:Arena which was necessary for PC/Dreamcast cross-platform gaming.
