so i just installed a new hard drive in my laptop and I'm right now going through the process of installing the ubuntu OS on it, and I can't help but catch myself imagining the little universe I'm creating on the "inside", you know?
It's totally dorky to talk about it, but how often do you catch yourself imagining things like that when you're using your computers?

If you really want to try ubuntu on Steroids. There is another site that is using the current version of Ubuntu with some really good modification to it Which includes all the codec for viewing vidoes on it and a few other things as Ultimatix for it as well that has a list over 30 games that can be downloaded as well from the site for free. I just installed the 32 bit version for my laptop thinkpad R32 2658-BQU and on my desktop that is running the 64 bit version for the sempron 64 bit cpu over here with a radeon 16 meg and a XT700 pro 356 meg on my desktop version running both really fine. Here is their website if you want to check it out.

I just converted a cowork on itas he has his new computer with two partitions one for his windows XP and another or ubuntu. Very good and stable. I think Qixx will agree as well to that as well.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

It has been done on a single machine I was heloing a colleague of mine with one other guy going over there since he lives closers to where the install was. I have done it as well over here. But nowadays I have two seperate machines doing similar tasks with each of them. But prefer my linux over the windows environment. But that is on a personal preference and not to preach it to everyone else. Been using the linux environment since 2005 over here and strictly with ubuntu on my machines. I still use on occassionally pull out Solaris 10 and open solaris from sun mictosystems over here. But they are all good. But have their own quirks like anything else.

if you were operating an OS on each partition then yes, i suppose so.
I was trying to imagine the new and completely empty hard drive looking like some vast, pristine grid, like this pic:
http://img1.jurko.net/wall/paper/Bomby.jpgand installing an OS is what creates all of the "buildings" and "architecture" and "geographical" features of the universe. I dunno. I need to get a life.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online |

that's an interesting description, I think you're talking about what many in the sector imagine all the time.
also, I'd like to point out that's one of the main reasons I'm entertained when I look at my monitor. every piece of electronics in my pc is right infront of me in a crystal case, about two feet from me, or so.
I like to take it all in, and make stuff. |

I agree with you on that one it is a matter of preference if they enjoy seeing that in plexiglass style of case there. Everyone has their own unique vieqing of things. Some like yourself like to see it in the pleaxiglass case. I would like to eventually make a tron mod case or make one that I can house several computers within it like a mame arcade there. with a wide enough screen. And almost all of my computers in there on a single kvm switch, along with the keyboard, Monitor, and mouse with an option for a printer stand and scanner connections.
