"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles"

on Sunday, July, 05, 2009 2:11 AM
Greetings, Programs!

I haven't been around much. I apologize for that. Am guessing most of y'all wouldn't even remember me.

In any case, lately, I have been very active with the "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" fan community, a.k.a. "The Resistance".

I don't know if there are any fans of the show in these forums but, just f.y.i., FOX Television officially canceled the show on May 18th, 2009. T:TSCC only got 2 seasons. It's first season was a short 9 episodes because of the WGA (Writers' Guild of America) strike. Season 2 (which comes out on DVD on Sept. 22nd of this year in the U.S.) got 22 eps for a total of 31 episodes all told.

Point being is the show ended with a LOT of unanswered questions. Most (if not all) of the fans feel that the show ended before its time.

IF you are a fan of the show (or have the potential of becoming a fan of the show) I encourage you to check out a site where the fans have been rallying.

http://www.savethescc.com
Many of us frequent the Chatroom there. [A link to it can be found on the homepage.]
We have been writing letters, sending postcards, making phone-calls all as a campaign toward getting our show back.

There have been success stories of shows getting some kind of un-cancellation or closure after their initial cancellation. Family Guy, Firefly, Jericho, Futurama and Farscape are just a few examples.

I hope you will join us in our efforts.

Our most current project is raising money for a mobile billboard. At this writing, we have already raised $3,285 of the $3,500 needed to fund the mobile billboard. We plan to have the mobile billboard drive around the streets of L.A. (focusing on the areas around Warner Bros. studios - the current rights owner of the Terminator franchise) the day before, the day of & the day after the Season 2 DVDs are released.

IF you are a fan and are so inclined, I hope you will contribute to the billboard project.

I myself already donated $100 but anyone can donate as little as $5.

I hope you will help us to bring back our favorite show.

Thank you for your time & attention.

Jayce

P.S. Even if you are not a fan - perhaps you have friends or relatives that are fans of the show. Please tell them about savethescc.com and our Chatroom! Thank you again.

I've been out of the loop for a bit, but I was very active about this right after I heard the show was cancelled. I was really, really disappointed to hear this.

TSCC was very good, and deserved to go on. But how typical of Fox to quickly abandon a show, and not give it enough of a chance to find its audience. They have a long history of doing this.

I'm hoping that the SyFy Channel (god, I hate their new name though ) will pick up the show in syndication, and with strong enough ratings there they might start making new episodes again.

What's funny about SciFi (I refuse to refer to them by their new name) is that they never air science fiction shows. They're like MTV and G4. Almost never anything about their respective topics.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Aloha, Programs!

Thank you for the responses!

I predicted that the mobile billboard fund-raising project would be met by midnight tonight (right now, it's 6:31 p.m. on Sunday - July 5th, 2009). We already met our $3,500 goal (for 3 days of billboard roving) about half an hour ago!

As for Sci-Fi / SyFy Channel, at one point, they were our most likely candidate for picking up the T:TSCC baton & running on with a Season 3. There is a friendly employee at Sci-Fi that sympathizes / empathizes with our fan efforts. He tweeted us weeks ago to say that our show is not a viable option at this time.

[I'm guessing it's because of the cost to produce each episode of Sarah Connor Chronicles. Last I heard, it was quoted at about $3 million per ep.]
We haven't totally given up on Sci-Fi yet but we are also keeping our vision from tunneling by looking at other possible options.

The fan Resistance fights on.

Thanks again for your responses! I hope you'll help to spread the word.

Best wishes,
Jayce

P.S. I'm looking forward to TR2N as I'm guessing you are!

When I first read this I thought it can't be the same sci fi channel, then a few days later I saw that their name was changed... I've only watched 'SCC once or twice, so I have no opinion on it, but it's better than watching re-runs like they do so often run.

A truly brilliant show - especially in its second season!

I hope Sci-Fi (yeah, they changed the spelling but it's lame and I won't do it) would be smart and pick it up.

It'd be better than 95% of the drivel they have for "original programming"!

I want to know what happened to John Henry!

Here's the main issue:

Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles could be considered decent science fiction. That's why it will never be on Sci-Fi.

The only decent scifi they have on that channel is the Twilight Zone, which they might as well cancel because nobody is ever awake watching that channel when it airs.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

You nailed that for sure!

Quality and Sci-Fi Channel usually don't go together like one would think they would!where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online
