I want one. Or better yet, I want a more advanced 3D display.
Make it snappy.
I'm cold and calculating. Don't press my buttons.

Step into it and you'll not only be in Hawaii, but also Florida, Africa, and Australia - simultaneously!
Put on these fancy glasses and you're bound to see anything you want in 3d

I wonder if they can manipulate those things by streaming charged elements and molecules, hot and cold ect.. that looks like a fun toy.

That's a cool idea, blow different gases at it to get different colors. I wonder what color radon makes

I have to agree, the 3D posters out today are fantastically detailed. You can almost look at a mirror inside a room in the back and see yourself. jk. But I'd like to make one that did. hehe

Those posters are lenticular images (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenticular_image). Old tech, cool effect. Probably not too many of them because I bet it's a bit pricey to make full-size posters, though that is a cool way to advertise a movie.
That plasma display has been in the works for a while, too. I think it hasn't hit mainstream adverts yet because stray beams from it have this tendency to blind people, which would kinda suck to do when you're trying to catch their eye in the first place.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Interesting link TechFalcon. I clicked a little further and saw this presentation that shows a bit more graphically http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~jfc/DR/F03/lectures/lec27/lec27.ppt
I've been looking at possibly making a hologram, now that I finally understand exactly what is going on when recording them, however still a bit amazed on how they can be viewed. I found this website that uses cheap laser pointers to make them http://www.buildcoolstuff.com/gallery/holograms.html
Anyone interested in giving this a try too? It's amazing how sensitive a setup is to vibration.
Back on the plasma display, as is it's a novelty, but why not go to the next step, like have a cube full of a gas or gasses that more easily become luminous, with each gas maybe heated by one of three lasers tuned for that gas. I wouldn't be suprised if that's possible to some extent. Then you'd have a color true 3d display. As far as the noise, it's possible to have an active noise cancellation system to some degree. I wonder if this thing jams cell phones... |

Actually, they're not lenticular images. You can read up on the details and what makes them different from lenticular images, here. Scroll down to where it says: "Is it a Lenticular?"
The basic priniciple is similar, but the method of execution and the results are far different. These holograms have much, much better quality. One of the key improvements mentioned is: "Classically, holograms have been single-colored or rainbow-like, and limited in their ability to realistically recreate 3D scenes, especially at a large scale; however, RabbitHoles Media utilizes patented printing technology to create bright, full-color holograms."

Wow - after reading that, they are completely different than lenticular, they work down to the wavelength, which is where real holograms work at. Maybe not exactly the same as a hologram, but i can't see it mattering except you have to illuminate it at a specific angle to get it to work (it says).
I have to see one of these things for myself!
BTW It seems that full-on true holographic monitors would happen if they made monitor pixels smaller than a wavelength.

Walk into a blockbuster and ask if they have the new Terminator holographical poster. It's pretty surreal looking.
Now that I look it up, that's what I saw, the same one seen at the theatre.
edit: now that I look closer, the one at blockbuster was a just a headshot in exquisite detail, it appeared to be about four feet deep. order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Huh, that's pretty cool actually, thanks TronFAQ. Not sure about the last part of the comparison (I fail to grasp how you couldn't use CG on a lenticular image, since both forms of imagery are rendered), but very interesting technology nonetheless.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill
