I got Assassin's Creed through Steam the other day. When I got to memory block 4, though, the game randomly locks up for a few seconds then starts going again like it should. Actually, it's not entirely random. It seems like it usually happens when I'm spotted by a guard or in a fight, or when I kill someone. It was working fine before, why isn't it working now?

Well, it's not crashing. It just freezes for 3-5 seconds and resumes running normally.
