Or something like that, I dunno..
I started up Steam and I was alerted of a client update. I restarted Steam, but this time, I got a warning message from Windows. It said that running Steam in Windows compatibility mode is not recommended, and that I should go into the program properties menu to disable all options.
Here's what happened:
I ignored the message, and Steam went to the store page like it should and then promptly locked up. I closed steam and tried again. Locked up again. Then I checked the properties menu and went to compatibility. The only thing that was checked was "Run as an admin". I unchecked it, thinking to myself that Vista was going ape over me running Steam as an admin. I started up steam, and this time, the store page didn't even load, the window was just white. Oh, it also locked up again.
Did anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? Or is there a way I can contact Valve?
EDIT: Nevermind, seems that it just takes an abnormally longer amount of time to load up than it usually does.

Wierd, my Steam hasn't crashed for me....
Maybe you should check the Steam Forums to see if similar things have happened there.
