Just wanted to start a discussion on 'Windows 7' and want to get your thoughts on the matter.
Do you think that Microsoft will learn from their mistakes from Vista? Balmer recently mentioned that it will be compatible with Vista but didn't mention anything about XP compatibility. Some are saying that it will make really good use of their virtual machine but I question about how much freaking RAM I'm going to need to run Windows 7 and how much more will I need to run VM. I really don't mind buying alot of RAM since RAM isn't really all that expensive (depending what you buy).
Who in the world is really going to use 'touch screen'? I know that I really don't have a use for it. I sort of frown on the idea cause I don't want to ruin my monitor due to the acids and oils on my fingertips. Give me a keyboard and mouse any day.
and for the biggest question.....
WILL MICROSOFT STOP USING NAG-WARE???? I'm so sick of pop ups which freak out every time I use my computer. So what if I'm running or install a program... leave me alone.... but by disabling it, then it will bitch because you done so. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!! What Microsoft needs to do is to quit making idiot-proof operating systems (cause they don't really work to begin with).
Anyways... thats my two cents....

I'll tell you what, if Windows 7 can emulate all of the previous versions of Windows through VM well enough that I can play all of my games, and they have proper driver support, then I'm so there even though I'll have to buy a new PC.
And after playing with my wife's iPhone, I don't mind a touch screen for some things. The kb and mouse are awesome, but not perfect. I'm all for new, better, and more intuitive input devices, e.g. the Ergodex DX1 and the SpaceTec SpaceOrb 360, but most people aren't willing or able to see the potential of such devices so they don't spend the money on them, which means these great new devices usually die on the vine before improved second-generation versions can hit the market.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Qixx Windows 7 would probably have the same amount as the recommeneded for vista as the minimum requirements for windows seven and from where I heard they should have called it windows 9 instead of seven when you think about when they released their different OS's going from windows 1.X on upwards. Personally. I am leaning towards the linux world that much more in comparison since you can still use even with Xubuntu with a system that is running with 160 megs of ram where as you need at least 1 gig of ram for windows vista any version to run it decently. And without trying t push linux on anyone here either.

Tron.dll, it's cool... I understand the confusion... I've been following Win7 for about a year now when Tom's Hardware guide mentioned about it. Microsoft didn't say much back then about it, until Bill Gates did a special for yahoo a while back talking about the new OS they are working on...
Windows 7 is the working title like how 'Long Horn' was 'Vista's working title, so when it's released (maybe next year) it will be called something else...
XP was 'Whistler'
Win 97 (which later became Windows 98 ) was called 'Memphis'
They do this all the time at Microsoft... I think windows 95 was called 'Chicago' or something... or 'Chicago' became 95.. I'll have to look that up, it's been a long time.
Theres a lot of tech news sites out there that talk about all the new technologies and stuff I go to daily.
Here are my two favorites:

I agree. It won't be a feature I'll use... Besides, I have my monitor in front of my face, and I'm not going to leave my hand (unrested) for hours touching a screen just to use my computer. It's a nice idea, but might only be used by cashiers at department stores or fast food resturants (which they already have anyways.. at least around here).
If Virtual Machine is improved and I can run my old software by using it, then I will soooooooooo be happy... but it better not be buggy....
Here is a video about VM on Windows 7...

A touchscreen interface would be an awsome addition, one that works properly that is. I would use it at my drawing desk to quickly access digital photo references. It's a pain to navigate through 500 file folders with a mouse.

Behold . . . Windows Vista Second Edition.
So it's official. Windows 7. Kind of a dumb decision. Especially considering the kernel will be version 6.1 and not 7.0.
What it really is though, is Windows 98 Second Edition all over again.
