Since I saw TRON, and actually started to understand the storyline of it, I realized that the phrase "nerd" is not an insult at all! Many people love Disney Channel and automatically hate nerds out of popular culture, however, it's nerds that make all of Disney Channel's incredibly cheap CGI effects possible!

I say embrace your distinctive personality.When others dont understand us just let that empower our individuality(in a world where so many people follow the herd).
If it makes you feel better im such a super geek i made an elektronica song out of TRON then made a video for it.So figure in that this took forever in programming hours and factor up that i joined this forum to share it with other fans.
I may be looked at as a super geek!
But thats okay if it wasn't for the geeks of the world.We may very well be still living in caves and bashing eachother over the head's with clubs(for entertainment)

Hey Z, I suspect that your sister is jealous (and may not even consciously realize it either). As we know, when people don't understand something, or they hate it because of it's superiority, they usually begin making fun of it, or they simply say destructive things to make it appear like they're above it, or too good for it. But the reality is that it's the other way around.
She should watch the first Revenge of the Nerds. After that, she should realize how immature she is for calling you a geek and a nerd in the first place! Then she should watch Tron. I have a feeling she'd enjoy it and probably even wants to see it.

yeh my mum bought revenge of the nerds I&II along with gremlins I&II which I thought was hillarious and my sister did watch tron and said it was pants which saddens me deeply "sigh"

Some calls me a geek for my abillity to quote Star Wars and having Imperial March as a ringtone on my cellphone (I am to change it to the Trontheme at first chance).
But that is nothing compared to some collegues and friends of mine. Take this one guy; he sees every possible soccermatch from Premier League every weekend and can line all the goals and results. That is geekdom!
And this other fella; spends every free second on work surfing the net for parts for his Audi. Though he dont need them "just in case" he says. Scaning E-bay. Chats on Audiforums. A friend of him joins in from time to time, talking technical turbotalk. That is geekdom to!
Gekkism and nerddom takes many forms. The only difference is on what subject you are lost to. Ill bet your sister is a geek too, inn her own fashion.
Maybe she is a fashionnerd? Or a makeupgeek
