Last I/O Node too high in Data Base

on Sunday, October, 05, 2008 4:04 PM
Greetings, users and programs! My name is Tim. I am a new user here, but not new to Tron 2.0 for the PC. It's my favorite game, and it's probably the only game I'll ever truly enjoy playing.

Anyway, that was my introduction. As my subject line says, the last I/O Node in Data Base is too high. For those who are wondering, this is the I/O Node that you have to access to talk to Alan just before crossing the Energy Bridge to go destroy the Seeker with the onslaught of the Wraiths. When I say too high, I mean it's waaaaaaaaay up in that corner near where you have to jump on top of data blocks to access the Archive Bin. I'll always remember the first time I saw it. lol

However, I might be asking a bit late. I was using version 1.010, and I just upgraded to 1.042, so I am currently in transition from the Prisoner Bin into the Transport Station. This is my first time playing Tron 2.0 outside of v1.010. So, I guess my question is When I get back to that I/O Node at the end of Data Base, will the last I/O Node be where it is supposed to be now that I'm using v1.042? And another thing I'm wondering is: is this a known bug that happens to everyone who plays the PC version?

Thank you! And it's nice to have found a place with such a love for Tron 2.0.

Oh, and now that I have this new version, you might be seeing me join some multiplayer games! I'm pretty excited.

Hi Tim, welcome to Tron-Sector.

The bug with an I/O Node sometimes being too high, has been reported before. It seems to be completely random in nature. It can occur on different levels and affect different Nodes.

Basically, the only way to fix it is to load a previous saved game before you entered the level where the I/O Node is too high. The game creates an Autosave before you enter each level, so you can try loading that and see if it fixes the problem.

As for the patch: it does not help with this problem. I've still had it occur with the patch installed. It happens very infrequently, but when it does it's very annoying. The patch does fix other things, though. So it's still worth having. Not to mention, you absolutely need it to play online properly.

But installing the patch while midway through the game, actually means you will have to start over from the beginning, unfortunately. Patching the game causes your previous saves to no longer work. Even the Autosave won't work any more.

Sucks, I know. That's why here on Tron-Sector and on my site, I put a warning that states installing the patch means you have to start over.

Thank you, TronFAQ. The only thing is this: It always happens with that node. I have played through the entire game over a dozen times, and it's never any other node but that one.

Oh well. At least I can play online now!

If I never get to access this I/O Node, then I want to know what I am missing.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

If you want to know what happens when you access the last I/O Node on the Primary Docking Port level:

Highlight to reveal spoiler:Jet tells Alan that he took out the stabilizing clamps. Alan then asks Jet to meet him in the Cargo Bay, so they can make their way into the fCon Mobile Server and try to find Ma3a. You also get 2 build points for talking with Alan.

Greetings, Tim.H and welcome to TRON-Sector!

Ahh, the old I/O node up in the sky issue. I haven't heard that one for a while. Luckily I never experienced that my first time through (which I played without patching first). After I installed the latest patch, I became slightly addicted (read VERY) to the online multiplayer light cycle game. I attended LCA (Light Cycle's Anonymous) meetings for months to shake that addiction.

A couple of threads you may want to hit are:

What's with your name?

And...

Don't forget to PING in every time you have yourself Another dose of TRON

I think you'll enjoy your time here at The Sector

Thank you. That was really thoughtful of you to do that!

Thank you, Todd!

I have a feeling I'll be hopelessly addicted to online Light Cycles too. I used to watch a friend play, and it looked about a million times more fun than playing against the computer. I can't wait until I have the itch to play online again. I get it every once in a while.

Thanks for showing me the threads. I'll check them out at a later time, though. I'm actually in the middle of something and I needed a short break.

Thanks again. I'm looking forward to my future here at The Sector!abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Todd, why would you want to break a Lightcycles addiction?

Tim H., hope to see you on the grid sometime soon! You'll either see me as TRON.dll or TR2N.dll, but usually the former.

If you have Steam, join Tron-Squad if you want, most of the members there are members here. where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

Oh, I forgot to mention that it's okay to just call me "Tim", or even "hey you". Tim's my name IRL too (I'm not the creative type). I chose "Tim.H" just to be identifiable.

Anyway, I don't know what Steam is yet, but I imagine that I'll be interested in the near future! I think I'm still getting used to the fact that I'm not alone in my love for Tron 2.0. Before installing the patch, I would periodically check Multiplayer for active online games, and there were always none so I was getting the impression that online play for Tron 2.0 was dead. Little did I know that it wasn't and that all I needed to do was install that patch to find out. So like I said, I can't wait for the next itch to play online! This is exciting.

Well, I'd better get going. EN12-82 is powered up and the Seeker is waiting to be destroyed!where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

If you have the Orange Box set, Counter Strike: Source, or any other Valve game made after they started using the Source Engine, then you have Steam.

If you don't, then you can get steam as a 1GB dl from the net, but it's not really nessasary to play TRON 2.0 online.

There's also Tron-Squad on Xfire, if you have that. Jademz would be the one to ask about that.

-UPDATE-
I'm happy to report that with this patch, the I/O Node was in it's proper place! I could tell it was thanks to all the other I/O Nodes I've seen.

I am convinced that the patch fixed it since it has been way up high every single time I have played it up until I installed the patch.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Don't think so. I've still had this happen, even with the v1.042 patch installed. Very rarely, mind you.

Regardless, I'm glad to hear that your problem has gone away.

Could be the Unnoficial v1.042 patch.

Btw, welcome to Tron-Sector!

Oh wow, I am sorry that I missed your question. Yeah, that's the patch I was referring to. hehe

Anyway, I'm glad it works now! Really glad! I hated never being able to access that I/O Node!
