Support?

Interesting, how it's been said that there's no support for TRON 2.0, however, when I went to Disney Interactive's website and searched TRON 2.0, I found this:

Quickpost this image to Myspace, Digg, Facebook, and others!

Interesting...

Now if only they listed the game. I would contact them, but there's no address provided.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

I don't think anyone has ever seriously suggested that BVG/DIS provided NO support for Tron 2.0.

Just that they provided BAD support.

I think it's safe to say that YOU played more of a support role for TRON 2.0 in just the first couple of years it was released than they ever did. Maybe BVG sucks, but we've got a resident expert on the matter so TRON 2.0 fans are never left in the dark... unless they never find their way here or to your TRON 2.0 website.

BVG should seriously show a little gratitude to the unpaid, unofficial support guy of TRON 2.0. Good thing you're still working hard lighting the way for new players who run in to trouble.

Has anyone pondered the idea of a new TR2N game? I mean, how will BVG (or whatever they'll be called then) treat that game? Regardless of how good the film turns out, will the new game be as enjoyable as TRON 2.0 was? Will it see more online player options? Will it get promoted at all? Hmmmm...

Why should they, when they've got people like me doing it for free, right?

Appreciate the kind words, though.

I don't have high hopes, personally. The game itself might be good (though hard to say), but I bet the support will still be atrocious.

Crossing my fingers, mind you.

I just had a mental flash of the BVG board meeting the new TR2N game:

Ok, people. We're cutting more costs... again. There's no budget for support but no need to worry about that. Someone called TronFAQ has been providing excellent support on TRON 2.0 and our projections show that he'll continue to do so for the TR2N game as well...

Maybe they can at least give you a free copy of the game and a little source code, huh? Even if the next game sucks, I bet you and the LDSO team can put out something respectable in a mod.

I hope they can get Activision on board to develop it, those guys really are awesome at every game they make. Have you seen the new Quantum of Solace game? Looks like one heck of a movie-based game to me!

I posted some ideas about a game based on the lightcycles in the trailer in the TR2N News thread.

As far as support goes, they'll probably do a Wii, PS2, PS3, 360, DS, and PSP release like they do with all of their games now. If there's any serious issues, they'll probably issue a patch for the 360 and PS3 versions (maybe the Wii version). However, serious issues in console games doesn't seem to be to much of a problem these days, so that's pretty good.

Also, Disney's got some new community deal that they're gonna include in all of their games eventually. I forgot what it's called, but apparently it's primarily a chat program with a few other community features tossed into the mix. I'd think they'd have it up-and-running by next year, as a new Cheetah Girls game on the DS had the feature implemented in it, and they're looking for feedback.

I would totally be psyched over a Wii TRON game. Possibly a Wii MotionPlus-enabled minigame based on Disks of TRON.. That'd be neat. abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

I pointed this out in april, a fact is a fact, but there's nothing shameful in being in a supportive role. I'm sure the movie has an important role in that.

Likely, but you'd think they'd put TRON 2.0 back on the games list, wouldn't you?where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Disney won't hire an outside studio like Monolith any more. They've got their own studios now, and they'll use one of those to make a Tron game.

As far as support goes, they'll probably do a Wii, PS2, PS3, 360, DS, and PSP release like they do with all of their games now.
I've noticed that the PC is conspicuously absent from your list.

But you know what? You're probably right. The game publishers almost all hate the PC now, and treat PC gamers like dirt. Still . . . no PC version of the next Tron game, no sale here.

However, serious issues in console games doesn't seem to be to much of a problem these days, so that's pretty good.
Completely disagree there. Console games are getting almost as bad as PC games, now. Thanks to online connectivity for the consoles, the same "ship now and patch later" syndrome is proceeding at an alarming rate.

A perfect example of this is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on the 360. Just read the reviews on it. It's a buggy mess.

Also, the release of Killer App on the original Xbox was marred by many faulty discs. And the game itself has more bugs than the PC version, that were never fixed.

Not if they don't release editing tools. Game publishers seem to be getting more and more reluctant, about allowing gamers to make maps and mods for the latest games. Probably because they fear that gamers can release high quality, free content that would compete with their own plans for paid content.
