I've heard from Lurkinghorror, that apparently Tron #6 didn't arrive in stores today. Has anyone else managed to get a copy?
This would mark the second time in a row, that Diamond comics was wrong about the release date of the Tron comic. Grr. Of course, the intervening holiday didn't help.
I called my local comic store yesterday, and the owner said he wouldn't be getting it in this week. But I thought that might be because I don't live in the U.S. Apparently, up here in Canada, the latest comics shipped on a Wednesday, as usual. Or, so I was told.
Ah well. One more week's wait wouldn't be much.
Besides, I already read a preview copy of #6 two months ago.
Actually, I just checked Diamond's site. Tron #6 has suddenly been bumped to next week. Geez!

Compared to many series, it has rocketed forward at a break neck pace. they may not be 6 issue specific though.
I know people are somewhat conditioned to the concept of monthly periodicals, but many non DC publishers tend to adhere to a quarterly schedule. Four books a year on a specific title is a fairly high output for a company like SLG. Many books only come out annually.
SLG made a mistake, in my opinion, by marketing the Tron books as a bi-monthly series. That was an overly ambitious approach for a publisher with no infrastructure for a work for hire operation. Before the Disney materiel, SLG focused pretty exclusively on creator owned work. And to be honest, working on Tron wasn't substantially different than working on the creator owned material. Except that I actually made less money on Tron.
The high cost of the license coupled with the low sales of the book, means that anyone involved has to be doing something else for a living. This book was done in the inbetween times and during many late nights. You look at something from Marvel and DC, that's a full time job with a massive infrastructure in place to support the process. SLG has... about 3 employees, I think.
The time frame of the books release has never bothered me, with the exception of broken promises. I understand why that happened, but I still wish it hadn't. I would have preferred if SLG had said from the start that the book would only come out 3 times a year.
But they really couldn't, because the license operates on a block of time. Not on an amount of work released. If we had more money from the start and a larger infrastructure, we could have put out a book a month with no extra financial commitment to Disney. order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

well i remember forbidden planet having a big poster add for the book in the store for months before the book came out - thats how i knew about it - how many books get that kind of support? i dont keep up with the industry trends or chit-chat - the friends i have that used to be into comics pretty much just get the occasional trade or graphic novel, etc. you all had the impossible task of working a classic theme to interest a younger generation accustomed to...i dont know what sells now...overly stylized x-men spin-offs and x-men rip-offs?
the issue didnt come out this week but congradulations anyway. still havent checked the shops around here to see if i can find the other issues - i think i have 1 and 3 - hopefully i will do that this weekend.

If only Disney had announced TR2N earlier, that could've sold astronomically high numbers of copies early on. where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Imagine of we had known that the test reel was to be shown. I could have been standing at the exit door with promo post cards with booth number information.
If sales had been just a bit higher, we probably would have kept producing books. Although not this storyline, and probably not this type of story. Something a bit more grounded, now that the rules of the "universe" were out of the way.

I agree with you on that Lurking horror if there was a way like that to happen it would have been great to see the comic book expand that way for everyone to enjoy it. Too bad it couldn't happen it would have been nice to see an expansion in the comic section as well. For both you and for us here who support tron and tron related items. I know I would if I could over here.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

I thought from issue one that there had been an attempt to recompile Jet cause he wasn't found in the system.
I was not expecting that the events I read in the "real world" was actually where one of the three was hiding.
After completeing the Ghost in the Machine story. I'd love it if next Tron story would be available in the UK and in it's entirety.

I'm still not sure what happened on the international distribution front, and I am very sorry if it was a problem. Were you able to acquire all 6 issues?

Ran across my 6 issue set and might try to read it.
Honestly it was weird for even a TRON series, and had less character development than even a TRON movie.
But "interesting" reading.
