if you didnt see this when it first ran on fox (around '98 - '99) then you missed out - even if you didnt like beast wars - which i didnt, and only got into it after i got into beast machines and wanted to get the whole story - beast machines was much more dark and stylish - the dvd collections are on my list of gifts for family this year (so i can borrow them back!)

I'll admit - I'm biased towards G-1 Transformers, but the animation and character development was a little better on Beast Machines. The alt-modes were interesting, as well, especially Black Arachnia and Botanica.
I know one thing - Michael Bay is about 75-80% done shooting TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, and all the footage I've seen is looking pretty cool! Can't wait for it to come out next year! Fighting for TRON, The USERS, Both Flynns, Independents, and the mighty ISOs since '82. |

I've been seeing some of the footage as well too.
Some new cars too. :O
Too bad there's no new character designs to go with the cars so I have no idea who they are, waauuugh!

I must have missed out on Beast Machines. Looks cool.
I didn't like beast wars in the lest. It's not that it was a bad show.... but I guess I'm sort of a stubborn guy... lol... For me it's the 80's show and design... so when that changes I turn into a 'bah humbug' guy... lol... but I've lighten up since then.
However, you have caught my interests... I'll have to check out Beast Machines if I get the chance... |

the fact that its happening this fast is a little disheartening. i just hope dreamworks has learned some new tricks because id like to see more than just the same stuff. was hoping for some epic unicron action or at least some cybertron scenery.

If you go to http://www.transformerslive.blogspot.com you'll see footage, fan drawings, pics, and other media related to the film.
Achilles, I understand where you're coming from, Man, however, it may be too early to introduce Unicron; maybe Orci, Kurtzman, and Kreugher (the writers) will introduce Unicorn at the end of TF:ROTF or hint at it. Can you imagine how huge Unicron would look on a movie theater screen? WOW!!!!!! I remember playing the Transformers Armada game on PS2 and seeing how big Tidal Wave and Unicron were, and I was blown away!!!! Greetings Programs:
I've updated this post. First part is the original post; Second part is the new stuff. Without further ado:
1)There's a badass new Corvette that's one of the new Autobots in TF:ROTF, but no word on which Autobot he'll be. I wonder if it's either: Tracks, Hot Rod, or Blurr. Hmmmmmm. . . . . .;
2)I just saw a special episode of Entertainment Tonight (which I DVRed and am watching as I type this somewhere in the Midwest, at 10:45pm), called, "TRANSFORMER TUESDAY", and they did a segment where they were reporting from White Sands, NM where TF:ROTF is currently shooting footage for the new movie. The film is set to wrap in five weeks, and it has been stated that (if the effects are done) the trailer will be released in November, in front of the new Star Trek film. YAY!!!!! Anyway, let's just say that the footage they showed involved a HUGE action sequence (we're talking HUGE as in TONS of military guys, robots to be added in post, and the like) that takes place in a certain northeast African country near a certain canal that was dug after WWII. Also, this same country is where Michael Bay and Co. will actually be shooting their last footage and wrapping the film. They also said that they will still make their release date of 6-26-09, but I wonder if they're going to, because of: a) they claim that the release of the November trailer is contingent upon the effects being done (according to one of the producers, TF2 will contain THREE TIMES MORE ROBOTS than TF1 - HOLY @#$!), which is a MASSIVE task, and b)they still have five weeks left to shoot, which I'm sure will include footage that will have to be treated with CGI. Oh! How I would love to be a fly-on-the-wall at ILM and Digital Domain! Can't wait! Plus, there's been 3 leaked character designs, too. They look interesting. L8r. End of Line.
