Hey everyone, I got GameMaker working, so get ready for S.T.E.A.L.T.H.!

S.T.E.A.L.T.H. is a lot like Metal Gear for NES, except there's no killing.

Hey.. if you ever get the chance, get the VICE emu and look for the C64 game 'Stealth'. Very cool game and I'm thinking about doing a remake of it when I get the chance..

I forgot I made this thread when I posted in the "Indy Games" thread, lol.
Here's the deal:
I just finished an early version of the game engine for my upcoming game, S.T.E.A.L.T.H. I need some playtesters, though. Here's the requirements:
-Must have GameMaker 7 Pro (registered)
-Must have some skill/understand how to use GameMaker 7 Pro
-Cannot distribute the game engine to others
I'm including three types of enemies in the game engine, but feel free to make your own!
You will recieve the .gmk file, meaning you can alter anything. Instructions included in the .gmk file, check out my blog for more details.

Wow, thanks. I wasn't expecting anyone to actually anticipate any of my games until after I released this.
For those of you who are playtesting, I've been adding some somewhat interesting modifications. I've made it so that collision with any enemy or enemy sight causes a message to pop up saying that you have been caught, followed by the game resetting. To do this, I created a parent object for each enemy and another for each enemysight. That way, when the player collides with enemyParent or enemysightParent, you get the standard "you got died" message.  
For those of you who have an unregistered version of GM7 and want to test this game, drop me a PM or post here. That way, I can tell if the gmk works with unregistered.
When I release the final game, I will release the gmk for the actual game and the game engine publicly on yoyogames.com.

Well.. It's just cool to have a sector buddy that is into game creation which is something I'm trying to get back to. I need to finish the music for the game's sound track and animate the main character, bad guys, bosses, and fine tune my story line...
I got most of the cutseans finished.... it's just that I need more time to work on this and time hasn't been available as of late... but this fall, I should be hammering some stuff into it..
I'll start a thread in the forums when I'm closer to completion (which I hope will be towards the end of fall).
Keep up the good work.. Always stay motivated..

Well, good news everyone. My computer started working correctly again (internet issues, check LDSO if you're curious), so I'm going to resume work on STEALTH. I've been making some slight adjustments to the Stealth Engine, like adding more enemies. I've got a complete level on there, too. If you want it, PM me.
When I release the full game, I'll try to include the .exe and .gmk for STEALTH, along with the .gmk for Stealth Engine. That way, people can make their own maps for the game.
If it ends up getting good reviews, I might consider doing an expansion or sequel.

Also, some more info that I wanna bring to your attentions:
I've added a few more enemy types to the game engine and I'm testing it right now. I've also found a nice MIDI composer program, so I'll be able to create my own music for the game. The game engine is almost done, I'm trying to determine weather or not to add more enemies before implementing the engine into S.T.E.A.L.T.H. I'm still looking for some people to try the engine, if any of you have a breif understanding on how to use gamemaker and wanna try it, send me a PM!
The new version of Stealth Engine is ready for testers, with a few more enemy types than the original and a starter level.
Also, I plan to publicly release Stealth Engine with or without S.T.E.A.L.T.H. when I put it on YoYoGames.

Good news everyone, I believe I have perfected my Stealth Engine and so I've implemented it into S.T.E.A.L.T.H.. The game is now officially underway. I'm also composing some midi tunes to go with the game, and they've turned out really good so far.

Oh, and I'll be posting tutorials and screenshots as the game is in development, to help those conscripts who need help in GameMaker.
NOTE: If you were an early playtester for the Stealth Engine, you can still report any bugs/glitches to me via PM.
